I've got to agree with the other answers so far. It will work and will stick, but only for a while. The backsplash is named aptly, water, grease or whatever will get splashed on this area of the wall. This type of tile does not have a good track record for locations with water. The simplest, cheapest solution to spuce up this area is to just paint it. Get a semi-gloss paint or washable paint. Then have at it! Good luck with your project.

I have and it does not hold up real well. The heat and humidity make it want to come off easy. If you were to have a fresh surface and were to apply another adheasive along with the self stick stuff, you might have better luck that I did. It lasted about 2 years at the most with many repairs

I don't think that's a very good idea, but if you are open to suggestions... you may want to try using wallpaper, or tissue paper, or brown grocery bags. Rip them into large pieces and crinkle them and dip them into polyurethane and stick them to the wall creating a collage effect. When coated with many coats of the poly it makes a great cleaning surface and looks great . The options are endless.

You can but it wont last because moisture will get behind it and it will come loose. Use ceramic tile, it will look better and last a long time. You can do it.

never done it on a wall, no reason why it shouldn't work. be sure the drywall is painted. by a can of spray adhesive cause some will not stay stuck, I don't care what brand it is, just be patient with it.
