I've painted two bedrooms already and so frustrated that I couldn't make a clean/crisp line between two different paint colors. I'm painting walls and where walls and ceiling meet. I am spending so much time retouching even if I use blue tape all around. The paint seeps in between the grooves of the textured walls. Please advise. Thanks!

I am renting a room in my home to a single white female roommate. She pays her bills on time and is semi-clean in the common areas but she keeps her room in disarray. You can hardly see the floor in her room because of all the clothes and junk laying around. This, I don't mind since I am not occupying that room but the problem is, her funk is starting to creep to other parts of the house. For example, If I am downstairs, I know when she has the door to her room open because the scent of the room downstairs changes from neutral to drunken wino. The odor is very pungent and it smells like she hiding a drunken homeless person in her room. I want to tell her to clean up her act; that she needs to do something about neutralizing the odor and to do something about that the funk that rushes out of her room when her door is open but I need to think of a tactful way of doing so, I am becoming a very unhappy camper, any suggestions?

I have several rugosa roses that got a fungus this summer--I sprayed repeatedly but never got it handled. I have been told to spay the canes with a lime sulfur spray in late winter. The rose hips have turned red & look pretty, but should I cut the bushes to the ground this fall? Should I leave them alone until it is time to spray? Please tell me!

How do I go about painting it? I would prefer to give it a white wash. Can I use normal emulsion? It needs to be done before Sunday, new carpet being laid!

Have a 5 yr old vokera combi boiler situated in cellar of a 3 storey house with some original 4 inch lead pipes. The pressure is always very low - about 0.5 on the dial. Get heating ok (although rads are noisy - a low hiss) and hw after about 45 secs. Should I be worried about the low pressure even though hw and heating are generally ok? Also one radiator doesn't work. Whilst fitting a new TRV, the plumbers discovered a blockage was preventing water flow as when they took rad off and opened up valve no water came out. They suggested the system needs power flushing (at a cost of some £500!!!). Could the low boiler pressure and this blockage be related? Is there a cheaper option than power flushing? Would really appreciate any help on this. I think possibly a combi boiler is innappropriate for the size of the house!
