We have paid £1000 up to now but can't pay more. We are only working class.

Try the Citizens Advice Bureau. Thet can point you in the right direction.

My advice would be to fight on yourselves. As long as the file is open there is hope.

I hate it when they do that kind of stuff to us. I had a drainage ditch running through my property and they wanted me to pay to get it dug out so water would flow but I told them it wasn't my water that ran off the street. They insisted. I refused. It still hasn't been resolved.

find a solicitor that will give free advise on first meeting,or phone a conveyencer, they deal with buying and selling property
