When I have finished a load of laundry, the machine smells a bit like urine, even though we have no pets nor babies' things - just regular old clothes. What can I do to sweeten the smell?

I noticed my tree leaves were discolored, then a few days ago I went out and checked around the roots and noticed the root system was rotted away from the tree on one side. Can I save it?

I'm looking at approximately 2000 square feet, two levels, 3BRS, 2Bath. One estimate I had heard was around $70 per sqft, plus finishing costs. Thanks

I need to run 240V to my hot tub.
I'd like to take my 240V from my stove (unused) and run it to a small sub-panel in my crawlspace, then have this feed the hot tub and some lighting around it.
The 240V wire running to my stove will be disconnected and will power the new panel.
From that I should have 2 hots and a neutral (although this is the braided alumminum type).
Can I use this to power the panel (providing 2 hots and neutral) while planting a seperate ground stake to run to the new panel for ground?
The Neutral from the stove cable is braided AL. but is totally isolated from the new panel to the old panel neutral bar.

Inside the new panel I'll have a 240v GFI breaker for the hot tub and
a 110V gfi for the lighting.
Is this OK? Im trying to avoid breaking down walls to run anything to my already packed old panel.

I'm in NC, and I was told I need some type of "panic button" near the tub as well - can this just be attached to a junction box near the tub?

Just bought a new home. Shower takes a few minutes to get hot and then after only a few minutes it's not hot anymore. Any other tests to do before calling the home warranty company and paying the $50 deductible?

I left a note on his door asking him to stop by when he got my note. When he came by I was very friendly and informed him of the damage and and showed the damaged area to him. He agreed that the damage was caused by work being done on his house, but refused to pay the amount necessary to have it repaired. After he walked away, I found 3-$100 bills on the ground where he was standing. Should I give it back to him?

It's an 8x8 enclosed area that is surrounded by a 3 foot high wall on two sides, my condo (stucco exterior) and walkway on the others. I looked up online how to do it, but they all involve using sand and concrete as foundations. How dangerous is it if I just level the ground and put down the pavers? Any advice is helpful. Thx.

I planning to buy a air pressure staple gun for a number of projects. There was one on sale that comes with the air compressor. It shoots 18 gauge staples. I looked at the staples and they look really thin. Can that kind of staple work with solid oak?

Does anyone know if it is possible to wash a Tempur pedic pillow?

I shipped one from Japan to North America and when it arrived after several months on a boat it was very moldy.

Some websites say you can wash the cover but not the pillow.

I'm wondering how to wash the mold out of the pillow without wrecking the pillow.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
