There seems to be some kind of pest in my office that has eatten through the wrappers of some snacks in the drawer. The wrappers appear to be shredded, but only on the tops. The pests only like certain things that I keep in my drawer. Even after removing all the food I still find they did come during the night. The other day I took everything out of my drawer except for a tub of Lysol wipes and still the pest ate the last amount of plastic label on the bottle. Any suggestions or ideas?

My son is 9 and told me he would like his room to look like he's living underwater and his bed to be like a submarine he can "hide" in. He's going away for 3 weeks and we want to surprise him when he gets home. Any ideas how to make this happen on a very tight budget? He already has a blue carpet...

I have a timer system which requires me to attach wires (black, white, red) to areas on it. There is another wire with no plastic coating (bare wire). I belive this wire is the ground wire? Must i wrap this wire around a screw of the chasis that holds up the timer system against the wall? If i do then wouldnt it be in contact with the metal chasis casing and be dangerous if i touched it with my hand?

Thanks

You could pull handfuls from the ground but that will never alter the smell, but with a lawn mower...totally different!!

Ok we got this new expensive refrigerator , we had it for about 6 months and today it stopped making ice, water comes out when you push button but no ice, water doesnt go to that thing where ice is being made ,what could be wrong? because you can usually hear when water is being filled into little containers, it doesnt do it anymore.

THe house is listed at $524900 and I would like to submit an offer. It's been listed for 4 months and price has been reduced twice. My agent says there has not been any offer yet. I am thinking about $485K (or less) and does it sound OK?

it's not on the rental agreement. 2 other people have a/c's and he's only telling me and the other person that's in the 2nd floor too that we can't have it in the living room, but said it was ok for the one below us to keep his in the living room. is there a law in california that states whether we can make decisions on our own what to put in our apartment?

i build houses for a living. i have a customer that wants a house remodeled. some of the exterior of the house has lead paint (which will have to be removed). i have been reading on the net about the dangers of lead paint, but everything i see talks about long term exposure. not one site i looked at said anything about short term. so is there any danger with being exposed to lead paint for around a month or so?

I have a small palm tree that I have kept indoors for over a year. It is a trooper. It stayed alive with no added water while I was evacuated from my house for 3 months. Just this month I noticed patches of white on the soil. I repotted it in a new and bigger pot and replaced all the soil. I used Miracle Gro potting mix. After just a few days the white path started forming again. Is is harmful. How do I get rid of it? What is it?
