If you want to recycle the glass, your community curbside recycling is the place to do it. I just saw a bit on TV that said that the energy saved by recycling just one glass bottle would keep a 100 watt lightbulb lit for four hours.

Look in the phone book under Habitat for Humanity. We have a place where I live called the ReStore and they will take used construction materials for free and then they sell them with the proceeds going to Habitat For Humanity.
