Hi ! I planted grass seeds in my lawn about 3 weeks ago and I see the grass growing but it is growing in patches. There are areas where the blades are almost 6" long and the grass is also thick but there are bare areas with no growth. I raked those areas yesterday and planted more seeds there and then covered with the raked soil (about 1/2" thick). Should that do it ? I have been watering the lawn twice every day (morning and evening) keeping the soil moist. When the first time I planted the seeds, I added fertilizer to the soil (mixed with soil and then layed it out, spread seeds and covered with more soil). Could too much fertilizer have been bad ? Anything else I could do for a uniform growth ? And how does the grass become thick ? At the beginning it appears to be growing far from each other. Lastly, this is in the bay area in California. Thanks for your help!

me and my husband are selling our home and the closing is in a week..
My husband is a contractor, he pretty much remodeled our whole house now. One day, 3 of our tiles in the laundry room cracked. So he had to replace them. after regrouting around the 3 tiles, he decided to grout the whole floor again. now here is the problem, he grabbed the wrong grout, which is very light beige, and the grout underneath is dark brown. It looks terrible.
I told my husband to fix it. He says he wont do it because he remodeled the whole house, hes tired of remodeling , and we lowered our price by 15,000 because the market is soo slow now.
I explained to him that when the people came to look at our home, they saw the laundry room with dark brown grout.

I cant get through to him!!

Can i do something about this? is there maybe a stain or something?

All I can think of is heating the glass to melting point and then cooling it. But will that make the glass bubble up or crack?? Or should I just go to my local head shop and have them make me a custom pice?

My best friend is neat, but she hasn't cleaned her oven in a long while. Any ideas? There's got to be something better than easy-off.

I started w/a wood box outline, just 4 pieces of wood made into a rectangle. I filled it with top soil. Planted already started veggies. They are growing well. Last week, I put some plant food on it. The veggies are still looking great and growing at break-neck speed, but there are little green ball like things through-out the garden. Also, there appears to be a thing green sprinkle of dirt-like stuff here and there. What is this and is it safe for my garden?

My lawn and backyard is giving up on me...they look worn and getting brown in some areas. I want to know what could be done. Also I am thinking about aerating as an option, does anyone know how much it costs to get help from a landscaping service. My lawn is very small and my backyard is a pretty medium sized one (the normal size). Please give me any suggestions and also if you all know a cheap service here in Collegeville, PA...that would be great!!

I have many oleander plants that provide privacy in my backyard, however they are poisonous (I have a curious 2-year-old) and they are growing a bit out of control. I'd like to have them all pulled, but then replaced with something. I'd like something that is low maintenance and tall enough to provide privacy...any suggestions?

Hi,
I need to put a 22 foot 6x12 for my garage header. It is super heavy. How can I get it up there, without having to rent a crane? Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Flooring and counter tops are 3 months out. My contractor has to travel 300 miles to get supplies. That adds to the cost. Who can show what they have in stock and not jack the prices up?

I am looking for wall cabinets for utility room. Two 18wx32hx12d. Also one 30wx21hx12d. All I require is that they are good physical shape; preferably wood, not partical board. My husband is dragging his feet so I am trying to get some on my own.
