We all hate making up our beds. I do too. But when you change the sheets, for new clean ones, and the bed is all snug and tight, it sure does feel good.
Getting into a ruffled bed, just doesn't feel as good. I don't do my bed in the morning, other than straightening it up.
I pull it all neat, before I go to bed at night. Just feels more comfortable.

You should not make your bed, I have heard that you should not cover your mattress during the day, that it needs to air out. I NEVER make my bed. I don't care how it looks, if people don't like it tuff crap for them. There are far more important things in this world to concern yourself with. Life is too short to worry about a made bed, and it's good for your mattress! :)

To make yourself feel not so lazy and sloppy. If you are in a clean tidy environment you may be in a better mood. Unless you just like it that way, and of course you do live alone so what the heck who cares? Dont make it! LOL

There's no point if you don't care for your room to look neat and you hate making your bed. Besides, if you live alone you can just as well do what works best for you.

I think for comfort, and the neat appearance of your room. It is just like a clean floor, no matter what the rest of the room looks like, if the floor is clean, it make the room look neater. And besides it saves you from having to straighten it when you are ready for bed.

Not only to make the room look nice but to also keep any extra critters, spiders, roaches, flys, etc from getting into bed with you.
Oh and if you have pets like dog or cat fleas.

Pride makes you make a bed. Separates you from a dog, that never does more than stir around its bed.

To make yourself feel better and more comfortable when you get in. Especially if you just put clean sheets on.

I think the bed is more comfortable when it's made. Might just be me, though.
Plus, don't you feel like a street rat sleeping in a pile of rags, when it's messy?
