but try black table pepper first, however, i am not sure what effect it will have on the grass or soil, it works well with foxes near a chicken coupe.

It is true that rabbits are nearly impossible to control in a garden. However, you can make your own rabbit gums (or traps). These traps are easy to construct. Instructions for one type of rabbit gum can be read/printed at http://mdc.mo.gov/nathis/woodwork/ww10/ .

Rabbit gums do not harm the animal. After you catch them, you can release them in a rural area or a local park. Children love rabbits!

Happy Hunting, and good luck with the garden!

What has allways worked for me is marrigolds, the bright yellow ones, and put up a small chicken wire fence untill the flowers mature and are in full bloom. No animall will cross the line they cant take the smell but there very nice to dress up the garden.

I have a dog who is quite the hunter. He has killed rabbits, squirrels, possum and a racoon. They all keep comming back. I had to fence in my strawberries and peppers with chicken wire.

Irish Spring soap, shaved off into small pieces and sprinkled around the plants has helped here.
