I finally got the answer drom my mom. Fill the sink with cold water and put salt in it. Soak the clothes in it and it comes right out good as new. What a life saver. And I'm talking dark pink and purple blotches. I swooshed them around in the water too although I don't think I really had to.

I've had the same problem You can try a dye remover. I don't remember the exact name but I think it's Rit or something like that. You can find it in the same section as clothes dye at Walmart.

It will only work on some things but at $3, it's worth a try.

Maybe the stain will come out. I've had new garments with fresh dye stain other clothes and it depends on the fabric and type of dye, whether the dye comes out or not.
If you use a spray on stain remover (like spray n wash), directly on the stains, lots of it, then rewash the garments (let them soak in the soapy water for half an hour), the dye should come out. Before drying, check garments to see if the stains came out, if not, repeat the above and run them thru the wash again.

Swimsuits are not to be washed. Hand wash them in the sink, only. They are expensive and made of fabric that does not do well with all the agitation a washer provides. And never, ever put a swimsuit in the dryer. It will fit a barbie doll afterward.

DO NOT WASH BATHING SUITS IN THE WASHER ANYMORE!!
THAT IS A BIG BIG NO! NO!!!

Putting bathing suits in the washer stretches them and drying shrinks and wrecks them
Hot water permanently stretches the elastic, and dryer sheets, detergent and washing machines will finally destroy it.
Never machine wash your suit – Hand wash the fabric with a gentle soap like Zero, and hang it to dry. Never use a dryer or an iron.

Heat is bad – If your suit is wet, the heat from the sun will fade the colors and loosen the elasticity. If you enter a hot tub, wear an older suit.

After a swim, rinse – Whether in an ocean, swimming pool or hot tub, salt, chlorine, and bromine will eat away at the fabric. Rinsing yourself with cool or lukewarm tap water will wash away a lot of the harmful minerals and chemicals. To dry with the suit still on, lay in a shaded area. Otherwise, hang it to dry in the shade.
While no suit will last forever, the proper care will keep the colors vibrant and the shape perfectly form fitting though the entire season, instead of a single month. And this will definitely keep you smiling at the beach.
