Women's Health - December 2007

I am 16 years old and every time I look in the mirror at my chest I am not at all impressed. My breast do not look that big at all, they are getting fat a little bit but they do not hang out like I want them too. My circles aren't even that big but they are very dark like they are supposed to be. I know somebody in my family whose a plastic surgeon and he said that he would give me implants if I wanted them. I told my boyfriend that I wanted to get some and he said no because I didn't need them. I don't know what to do, I am happy with myself a lot but it seems like at 16 they should be a little bit bigger than they are now, so what should I do? Get the estrogen pills, the implants or just wait?

next october (which i know is a long time away) im going on holiday and im due to come on then and really dont want to be just because it makes me feel crappy, bloated and i want to go swimming in the sea alot. my cycle is pretty regular and i was just wondering if there is a way to make it so i wont have my period for two weeks that month? ive never been on the pill before so should i start going on that? but does that completely stop my period or what? or is there like a one time pill i can take to stop if for a month? help please, thankyou

a month after getting on the depo shot i got a kidney infection. i was on the shot for almost 2 years. then i wanted to have another baby, so i got off the shot. i got pregnant, but had a miscarrage. after that i got back on the depo shot. i have currently been on it for 3 months, and i am getting another kidney infection. so does anyone know if there is a link between the two, or has anyone on the depo shot gotten a kidney infection?

Okay, so i got my period last month a week after i had sex, an havent had sex ssince(long distance raltionship)i took 2 tests prior to 12/14/07. I started spotting exactly 1 week before i was suppopsed to start my placebo pill. 12/14/07 is when i had surgery, unrelated, and they took a pt, and it came back neg. i was put on pain killers and antibiotics. i started my placebo time on pill, b/c no one directed me otherwise. when i started my placebo, it was heavier then the spotting, but still not like a regular period. Also, my "period" i have had crampsToday, which will be the 4th day of my placebo pill, is is lighter than ever. My question is, is there a possibility i could still be pregnant? OR is it from all the mediction. I took all the antibiotics and that was yesterday morning or the night before, and stopped taking the pain killers yesterday morning about 9 b/c it was making me too sick, and i could run errands. Today, i think i am waking up with migraine. What do you think??

My wife and I have enjoyed a fine sex life for years, but she still gets sore after 15 minutes or so. She is rather small, but I am not above average in size. Often, we have to stop having sex because the pain outweighs the pleasure for her. She has no particular medical condition that either of us are aware of that would cause this either.
Can anyone suggest a product/exercise/anything that might help?

We are on vacation and the clinic called her about her exam but they wouldn't tell her over the phone. Now she is worried about it. What do they look for and what could it be? They said it could wait till she got back but she was upset over it and now I'm a little worried myself. We've been together almost a year so I'm positive it's not an STD or something. I think they were looking for cancer.

My problem is I started to watch porn the past few days and I Orgasm a few times /day it's affecting my concentration in my work and it makes me feel horney most of the time especially in the morning .I started to get insomnia and feel iritated and stressed. I am not married .I want to stop this feeling until I can get married and find the right one . It's distracting at the moment. I'm looking for a way to stop my period for my wedding day and honeymoon. I haven't been on the pill since 2002, so my body is fully clear of the chemicals.

I read that when you come off the Pill, you might not be able to conceive for up to 2yrs after. I wonder if there is a way I can stop my period without having to use the Pill, or if there is a certain type of Pill that is more suited for short use. I would only look to use it for one month, to cover the wedding and honeymoon, and would like as little disruption as possible.

Please only suggest BRITISH brands though, as I'm in England.

My fiance and I have been dating for about 2 years now, and we really love eachother. We just found out I'm pregnant, and he's so excited about starting a new family.
My problem is, he wants to come along to all of my doctor's appointments. It's getting harder and harder to come up with excuses to explain the comments my doctor makes about 'this time around' and my 'fourth pregnancy'.
Is there a tactful way to ask my doctor not to mention anything about all the abortions I've had these past two years to him? It's kind of a private subject. My fiance is very religious, and I think it might gross him out.

hey guys.. i was revising for my biology test on reproduction and the menstrual cycle. how reliable is the rhythm method
if u have sex a day after bleeding... and then 4 days after..
(you still used a condom.. in case). then about two days after ur starting to get womb pains and feel a bit tired.. could that be a sign of pregnancy?

I am often a few days late on my period. They're usually heavy, VERY uncomfortable and painless.
Lately i've been urinating often and today i thought i started my perriod (because im due) but it came out as spotting. Or maybe a lighter period from using a acid to reduce blood flow?
Is this normal?

I noticed right after i get my depo shot my acne improves and essentially disappears, but towards the end of the 3 months before I'm due for my next shot my acne is at its worse. I thought depo provera was supposed to cause acne?

I had a laporoscopy with lasering of scar tissue to treat my endometreosis ( which is on the female organs) on monday and I bled very little at the hospital and none yesterday but today ( wednesday) i woke up and have been bleeding heavily and its like a burnt orange color. When I say bleeding, I mean its coming out the vagina ( dont want to sound gross but thats where the surgery was!)
Ive talked to a coworker whos had the same surgery and she mentioned that Id still be in pain, but nothing about the bleeding. Im at home alone and have to go to work in a few hours, and I dont know if im hemmoraging or if this is normal!!

Is it normal to have something - it was clear liquid mucus-like- coming out of my ---? And sometime I kind of feel - my heart beats fast, and my --- part feels like the mucus is coming out. it happens quite sometimes, when i was reading ( not porns of course) or just sitting alone in my bedroom.

I know that birth control pills are sometimes ineffective while taking prescription medication. I just took the first dose of azithromiacin for bronchitis and was wondering if that would make my Mirena IUD ineffective. I know it's different than a pill but I just thought of that this morning. The doctor asked if I was breastfeeding my 6 month old (I'm not) to make sure whatever he prescribed would be safe but didn't ask about what birth control I was on. I called the pharmacy and the tech wasn't really sure; she just said to be extra careful with another method for the 5 days I'm on it and then it should be fine. I called the 800 number for Mirena and had to leave a message, but does anyone know if the prescription will effect the usage of the IUD? If so, will it be back to normal once I stop the prescription or will it take some time for it to get out of my system?

stupid yes, iv had sex quite a few times without a condom for the past 4 weeks with my g/f we don't like them and i know eventually no protection = pregnant, she has agreed to go back to birth control, I know their are products that will kill anything just in case and was wondering what are some good ones and what prices? and where can I get them?
