Yes, she should go to a gynecologist. There shouldn't be a strong heavy odor in vaginal secretions. She probably has a yeast infection, which are very common, and easy to treat. Because yeast naturally resides in our bodies, it's really easy to get an infection, especially in the vagina, since it's really naturally moist and dark in there. Another good indicator is the color of the discharge. Normal secretions are clear, or slightly cloudy depending on where she is in her menstrual cycle. Thick and white, or a yellow color are a sign of trouble.

A mild odor is usually normal. But if it is strong and foul smelling that is a sign of some sort of infection. Is she also having discharge that is out of the norm? I would convince her to see her gyno if I were you. It could be a simple infection that needs treated with antibiotics but it will become worse if it goes untreated.

Yes, she needs to see a doc.
There is no odor or taste unless an infection of some sort is present.

Yes she should see a dr-esp if this is abnormal for her. A fishy smell is a sign of a bacterial infection. Mind you the area may have a smell, but it should not be strong (unless she hasnt cleaned lately) or unpleasant. Pungent maybe, but not something that turns your stomach.

The fluid is normally odorless. But bacteria loves to grow on warm damp places so you'd need to wash the part often.
If it reallt stinks like raw fish then it's a sign of STD. please get a checkup.
