I would like to know if that's true or not and if so I would like to see facts. Maybe a link to a website that has a report or a study on the benifits or affects of it.. Please only serious answers.

Yesterday I read someone's response to a question on Y.A. The question was one which has been asked a lot recently. It was by a 13 year old girl asking when her periods would start. The answerer gave what appeared to be a sensible answer, but then finished by telling her to practise safe sex. Am I the only person who thinks it was irresponsible to say that to a child?

I had a miscarriage on October 19th with which the bleeding lasted a week. Once it had died down and with my doctor's permission we decided to start to try again. About a week ago I started to feel pregnant again, swollen and tender breasts, weepy, moody, headaches, exactly as with my previous pregnancies. I took a test which was negative but when I went to the hospital for my final check after the miscarriage they said it was too early to test anyway. This was last Friday, they said a period can take 4-6 weeks to return and would usually be heavier than before. I am really confused as this past Sun when I wiped myself some brown sludge came out, this continued til yesterday. There is not enough to stain a pad and I only noticed it when I wiped, it now appears to have stopped. Would this be a period? Mine are usually heavy, and last a week with bright red bleeding so I am confused, also the fact if it was a period it was a week early is confusing matters. Could it be implantation?

I was wondering if you happened to get Pregnant while on the pill, would you still have your withdrawl bleed or would you miss your period just like you would if you weren't on the pill? I"ve been on the pill for almost 6 years, I take it religiously and use condoms. I'm on my period now and its normal, I was just wondering if the pill would affect that? Thanks!

Hey everybody, I have a serious question.... When I was little i remember developing breasts faster than all my other friends, I wasn't overweight or anything i just had bigger breasts. Now that I'm older (17) they continue to grow, I know this because my shirts don't fit me anymore, they're not long enough because, I'm still not overweight and i'm quite short (5 2") and I feel that my breasts are not proportionate to my body. They have always caused discomfort, I'm a 36D. I was thinking of getting a breast reduction when I turn 18... I just want to be comfortable. Do you think I'm being reasonable?

My best friend is thinking about getting breast implants. I am trying to talk her out of it, cause I think she is perfect just the way she is, Just as any man who sees her, would think. she's GORGEOUS! anyway, I want to present to her some of the dangers of having the procedure, are there any lasting effects it can cause? What are some things that can (or have) gone wrong? I just want to know your input. and also tell me what you prefer. REAL or FAKE?

Of those of you who developed RA after a pregnancy, how many of you :

* are Rh-negative and received a shot for that
* were preeclamptic/eclamptic and were given magnesium
* were induced and given pitocin
* had an epidural

these are a few of the things that run through my mind when I think about how I developed a disease that is not in my family's history. I know it can be random, but sometimes I wonder if something the doctors gave me reacted the wrong way with my body. Any help would be awesome!! Thanks!

If so, can you please explain a little about the system such as....
I looked at the website and it is vague on exactly what the "system" is other than explaining it as a tension system to get cells to duplicate. I am assuming there is some type of sports bra thing you have to wear.
2 - If you used it and had success, how much growth did you get from it?
3- Ballparking it - about how much does the system cost aside from the lotions and whatnot to help the skin.
4. I know the site said you can increase from 1/2 cup size to a possible 2 cup size within 15 days. I am assuming at some point, you have reached your maximum enhancement though right?
5. Pros - Cons?

I am considering breast augmentation, but would rather hold off on elective surgery for other reasons at this time. If this is a system that does yield results, then I would like to discuss this with my surgeon. I have a consultation set with him for later this month, and saw on his website he does provide this system.

Is this normal? I usually take the last active pill on Mondays and get my period Thursdays. I had a scare this month and took a pregnancy Sunday and it came out negative. Is it possible to get your period the day after you take your last active pill?

I am 17 and just looked at all the symptoms for anxiety and they relate to me very much. I am going to see the doctor soon about it and was wondering what they do for that? Do they give you pills? If so are the pills ok healthwise to take? The reason im asking is because my cousin went on anti-depressants and she couldnt get off them after..

I had day surgery yesterday to remove a breast lump. I was told I could remove the larger bandages today (which I did) & to leave the tape that's over the incision. I was also told I can shower tommorrow but I'm worried that the tape might get loose when it get's wet? I'm assuming it must be ok if they told me I can shower but won't the water seep through?

I have an exam (planned parenthood) scheduled for Friday, and I'm scared that I might get my period before then. If I do am I supposed to call and cancel? Because that seems kinda gross to go at that time of the month, but obviously I have no idea because this is my first time going!

I'm 14 years old, a freshman in high school and I'm thinking about joining the swim team next year. Problem is, I have my period and I've always used pads. My period lasts about 3 days (and yes I know it's shorter than most girls' periods, but I've checked with my doctor and she says it's normal for a teenager, especially with all the hormonal changes now and such), 5 the most, and it's only on the 2nd day that my period heavier than the 1st or 3rd (last day). I know that girls who swim on swim teams/competitively use tampons, but I kinda have a slight fear because I heard that it will hurt when your flow is too light, and I don't know how to, even though I've read instructions online from valid sites and have seen step by step cartoon pictures that show you how. Basically, I'm not sure if I'm really "suitable" to use tampons, and would like some serious advice from other teen girls. Thanks!

I'm looking for ways to delay my period. My ex is visiting me next month for my birthday so I'm planning on getting my freak on and not having to plan around my period!
I'm not on the pill, and I'm not going to be (no lectures please) I'm just looking for a natural way or delay or skip that month completely - Thanx!
