Your pack of pills should have days on it. And you must take the pills on thses day so you dont loose track. But if you read your packet insert, you will see you have 21 active pills and 7 inactive pills. These inactive pills are call placebos. Its basically a sugar pill so that you can remember to take your pill every day. Your period comes on when you start taking the placebos because there are no hormones in them.

take all your pills in order, including the placebo (sugar) pills. if you're on your period, you are probably taking the placebo pills now. they are usually a different color and located on the last row on your pill pack (last 4 pills if you take Yaz), or if you are taking an ortho product they are the middle 7 pills.

i'm answering this as if you are on "normal" pill, not seasonale.

when in doubt, call your doctor or head down to the pharmacy. your pharmicist would be able to help you out too.

Take one pill every day at the same time (or around) every day. Depending on what brand of pill you are on (ie. Yaz, Orthtricyclinlo, ect) There is a set of active pills and nonactive pills. (The pills do come with directions/information in them too) The set of nonactive pills are when you should normally have your period, since there are no hormones in them. But yes, you take a pill every day, even when you are on your period

And the brand of pill you are on is _________?

Some pills you don't take any for seven days (21 day pack), and that is when you should have your period (somewhere in that week, not necessarily starting on that first day of no pills).

Some pills have Placebo pills that you take, which also means you can still have your period while taking pills (28 day pack).
