Of those of you who developed RA after a pregnancy, how many of you :

* are Rh-negative and received a shot for that
* were preeclamptic/eclamptic and were given magnesium
* were induced and given pitocin
* had an epidural

these are a few of the things that run through my mind when I think about how I developed a disease that is not in my family's history. I know it can be random, but sometimes I wonder if something the doctors gave me reacted the wrong way with my body. Any help would be awesome!! Thanks!

Hi I guess it just depends, yes its best to go natural but that's not always the case. It depends on a lot of factors, u might have to have a section. I wouldn't chose to have an epidural or a section but if there was a emergency then i guess the doc's know more than me. I found the best thing to do is to relax, go with it, try not to tense up. Just keep thinking that it'll soon be over and your babe will be in your arms. Mind over matter and all that!. I had both my children naturally with just a bit of gas and air but found it made me feel ill. I'm hoping to have this one naturally too but as they are worried i am having a large baby i might need to be induced early or poss have a c-section. Just gotta wait and see i guess. Hope this helps.
