I just got diagnosed with Grave's disease, and I am very frightened. I have been on line and see that I will develop large popped out eyes. Is this true? My eyes are fine now, but I fear I will wake up one morning and look very different. For those of you who have this illness or know about it please shed some light...thank you in advance

Uh, somebody just told me that when a person dies, they bag up the blood and sell it to hospitals or something, if it's not diseased. The same with organs. But I thought they weren't allowed to donate organs unless they have permission from the person/family, and don't they need to get the organs relatively quickly after the person dies, or they can't be used? A little insight would be nice. Thanks.

They give us the details and think we can help. What's up with that? I know sometimes people can help and offer advice. But seriously when people say they are bleeding or have a severe injury and want to know what to do, are they really sitting at home at their computer bleeding and have a broken bone piercing their skin? Okay....we rushed her to the ER yesterday because she was throwing up very dark vomit. The dr said that it was blood. She is continuously throwing up, and having diarehha. She cannot hold anything down. Well, the dr did find an ulcer in her stomach, but he said that he thinks the bleeding is actually from a tear in her digestive system. Well, she has tubes all in her with very very dark blood coming out of them. If it was a tear in her digestive system...wouldn't the blood be bright instead of dark. Sorry, I jus want a second opinion in case this dr is wrong. They are still going to run all the scans on her, but I am a very anxious person, and i want to know what is wrong with her now. Thanks for all your help!

Let's say someone sleeps for 12 hours.. they set alarms right by their head, but are in such a deep sleep that they don't wake up. Let's also assume that they do not have mono, and are not sleeping out of laziness or boredom; they have a job, school and other obligations, but are dead tired when they get home and fall right asleep for half of a day. Are there other health problems that could cause such a long period of sleep?

I have been taking zoloft for almost 2 months now for anxiety. I can not find my bottle of medicine. This is the second day I have not taken it. My eyes feel almost like they are heavy and I feel very sad(almost like when you are tired). Is it true if I make too much out of not taking it, it will be worse then if I think it's not that big of a problem? Should I call my doctor and would she be able to get me a new bottle of the prescription? I am totally embarassed that I lost it.

where is a good online resource where a average person can check on doctors dosing of medications / drugs prescribed ? see more details side effects / toxicity limits / alternatives.

the dr and pharmacist do not seem to agree ? not sure which one to is right / to change. only recently realized the pharmacists role is assist patient/ i previously think pharmacists role was more of a middle man in selling / medications. phamracists did proactively mention / questions . this is 2 times now . pharmacist did call call doctor with me present on 2nd visit. doctor / pharmacist not seem to agree. how do i drill down deeper ? i now think BOTH are working for me ? just not sure what is right .

lol whats wrong with me?
and theyre not like, little ones
like i "black out" for almost about 15 seconds
and my whole body goes numb
and i cant feel my face
and i body will like rock back and forth until it goes away
and finally i get one final rush in my head
and i can see things again.
then its over.

I have gotten headaches at least once a day every day since I was about 8 years old. I was diagnosed with migraines back then but there hasn't been any prescription that has worked for me. So I have been taking at least 600 mg of ibuprofen a day. (I'm 20 now). My regular doc told me to continue taking this much...I'm worried it will damage my liver pretty badly if I keep taking this much. I am going to the neurologist on Tuesday for these headaches but I don't know what/ if anything will come of it...I don't know this whole thing worries me. By the way I have had eye exams food allergy tests... etc.
