I've had a recurring throat problem for several years now. My throat will feel sore and painful...kind of the feeling you have before you get a cold...but much worse. My throat also feels like it is closing up and I get these big white spots on my tonsils and my tonsils turn red, get very veiny, and swell. I have been to three different doctors and all three said they had no idea what it was and they had never seen it before. I've had tests run...it's not strep, it's not tonsillitis, it's not tonsil stones....I'm getting frustrated. I'm so sick of this happening! It flares up once every few weeks and makes me miserable for days before it suddenly gets better. I've been told it was possible it was allergy related, but several different allergy meds have not helped me at all and the doctors have no clue what the problem is. Am I the only person who has had this problem? Does anyone know what it could be? Is there anything else I can do to help this besides getting my tonsils removed?

i tend to forget some details on day to day activities and there are times that i loose track of what i plan to do (like what item should i pick up after going down the stairs..). plus i'm really no good remembering names... im still in my early 30s, and i theorize that im very pre-occupied that's why i forget..

anyway, what are your simple tips?

Throughout my day, I seem to forget things. Take this week for example: I was walking to my locker when I forgot where I was and this lasted for about 30 seconds. What can I do about this?

I know it says You should not, because it increases the side affects. But it is not a capsul, so it seems like it should have the same effect.

Some years ago I heard on TV that fluorescent lighting has a slight negative affect on some kinds of illness.
Does anyone know anything concerning this topic?

If yes, can you please give the brand/maker and country where it was manufactured. (basically this question is for men, because women are used to wearing shoes with high heels but womens answers are also welcome)

In some people, chocolate has been found to cause headaches. For me, I have noticed it most often in Hershey's chocolate... you know, the thin bars the company made famous and that are absolutely perfect for S'mores. Are there any studies that reflect brand differences in headache causation... or has anyone else noticed this?

I've heard this can be a sign of male pattern baldness setting in? I'm very concerned because I'm only 18 and it does run on my father's side of the family. I'm very uncomfortable with a very itchy and flaky red scalp. I occasionally experience some tingling and severe itchiness and pain. There's also a bit of hair fall especially in the shower. It's mostly in the back and top of my head and the side/temple area.

Is there a chance this is just natural hair loss and baldness setting in? I plan on going to the dermatologist soon but it does cause me to worry.

Sometimes during school, when I forget to eat, my stomach growls, and I can't eat during class. How Can I stop my stomach growling without eating, or cramming food in at my last meal, so I won't be so embarassed?

My parents always have told me to do it when I have a possible ear infection or buildup of earwax. I was just wondering if it was a bad idea to do it.

My nephew wipes his butt back to front, and my brother doesn't think there is anything wrong with that, I've always been under the impression that it's unhealthy. Who's right and why?

I've had a sore throat for a little under a week now (I've taken lemon and honey, cough drops, gargled salt water, drank vinegar...), and a few days ago my ears (mostly the left) started to sound...odd. It's not painful, but there's a sensation of a little water stuck in the ear and noises have that same underwater quality. I guess it's an ear infection, but a painless one - I hope it stays that way.

And as for the pinched nerve...It started because I sat down in a certain position a few days back and I guess it got squeezed. It's the femoral/hip nerve, as well as the lower back, where my spine connects to my hip. No matter how I sit or lie down it hurts, and walking isn't pleasant either.

Any ideas?
