Hi There,
I have 60% hearing loss in my left ear and had to see an ear Specialist. Now I know u must have hearing problems if u think it's a ruptured eardrum, Cover or put your finger in your good ear and if you aren't hearing anything, this is very serious! Did u stick a Q-Tip too far down the ear canal? Were u hurt some how? Mine was a knife attack in a bathroom thrown against bathroom fixtures, sink, bathtub, etc.
but it was the nerve in my ear, and without a nerve, there's nothing to adapt it to. Please have this checked out ASP I'd hate to have u lose your hearing! No matter what it takes plse see a Dr. so you can get a referral and they can do the testing on you!!!
All the Best of Luck,
diana d

There will be some pain and bleeding from the ear. And you will get dizzy. Hearing loss. Depending if its just a tear and not from an ear infection the Ear drum will heal in a few days. If you have an ear infection (discharge from the ear) it will take longer.

If you have tubes put in the ear get them out when the infection is gone. The doctors will not tell you when they are put in that they can cause tumors. Thats what they thought when they checked behind my ear drum on the left side because the ear drum was stuck. Well it turned out to be ear wax behind it. But the Doctor almost drilled a hole behind my ear lobe to access a tumor that was not even there. Otherwise I would have been screwed for life.

Actually my doctor told me it was the other way round, if you have manic ear ache and then all of a sudden it stops, it's because your eardrum has popped and released the build up of pressure which is what causes the pain. But yes you would probably get some weeping of blood/puss/etc but if in doubt always consult a qualified medical practitioner.
