In what ways can we help the handicapped?

There are a number of things you can do.

Build ramps for wheelchairs. Get the doors for people who are less able. If you are able-bodied, don't use the handicapped parking spots or bathroom stalls. If you see a handicapped person in a store, offer to help get things for them off of high shelves.

There are a number of organizations who take donations to find cures for the handicaps. Be cautious: Some are not as beneficial as they wish you to believe they are. But consider making donations.

Above all else, be a friend and don't treat a handicapped person as any less of a person simply because of a disability.
