Yeah, my mom's a pediatrician, and they use it for that all the time. To simply explain how it works, because the molecules are polar, it is a very corrosive substance when undiluted. However, it doesn't harm your skin or ear drum or anything. In my opinion it's a much better idea than sticking cotton swabs up your ear.

Works well - I think you are supposed to dilute it hair-strangth peroxide about 1:5 with water then pour a little in, listen to the fab gurgling noises and then hold a tissue to the ear and let it out.
Works BRILLIANTLY if you have been swimming a lot on holiday underwater - the pressure can compress any wax and make it extremely painful. The Hydrogen peroxide solves the problem within about 15 seconds per ear.
Fab stuff, cheap, works well and generations have used it without problems.

One of my girlfriends do that lots, and I must confess I to have done it, but I have a greater wax build up because I have
60% hearing problem due to a knife attack & beating he broke my nerve. I know it's NOT wise to do it as u we are probably illimating fuels, the canal, and who knows whatever down there! When I had my hearing tested, Specialist said the wax build up down my ear canal was too hard and asked me to put 4-5 drops of Olive Oil in my ears for 2 weeks to soften it the wax up. He drained them, but to no avail I have to use 6 Q Tips to clean them still. Peroxide maybe once in a
while, the power it has maybe once a month. But don't tou just love the tingling sensation when it foams up? And know they're clean? He told me not to use Q Tips but put a few drops of oil in them & cover with cotton baton??? Why do they make Q Tips then???
My answer, your decision, Sweety

not a bad idea for cleaning them as long as you put it on a qtip and swab around but not deep in the canal. it does nothing for an ear infection. if you have an ear infection go to your doctor to go on an antibiotic

You can, you just want to make sure that you get it all out, or let your ear dry out afterwards. You can put a cotton ball in your ear after you put in hydrogen proxide, and then lay on that side to allow it all to drain out.

A few drops won't hurt you. This is good if you think you have water in your ears.
