Does drinking a lot of water counteract the negative effects of eating a lot of sodium? As a background I am a healthy 20 year old who loves to eat beef jerky, it is basically all sodium. I also drink a lot of water, which a biology teacher told me negates the negative effects. Is this true?

How can i get prosribed to tranquilizers for aniexty depression etc..? I would really like to take one of these drugs so that it could help me.. I have been to a psychotherapist before but has not proscribed anything to me. Does anybody know what i can do?

I just recently got a pap smear, and after the gynecologist stuck her fingers in me and pressed my lower abdomen area it hurt. It still hurts today, but it didn't hurt before my pap smear. Has anyone experienced anything like this, or have an opinion of what it may be?

It's been almost 3 weeks with NO NICOTINE after gradually reducing from my usual two cigarettes... which in turn was reduced from 10. Here's to a 10 year habit out the window? I do feel like I've tossed out dysfunctional family... any suggestions on ways to 'stand firm'? (I've been doing crunches like mad... my abs have never been better! :)

I've had a fever for the last four days. I went to the doctor yesterday and he gave me some antibiotics for my cough and congestion. I've also been taking an OTC medicine for my fever. Is this four-day fever normal? Yesterday my temperature was around 101 and today it's lingering at 102. It went down to 98.6 degrees exactly two days ago, and it was this morning too. But the fever won't go away!

Its now the 26th March. I've been doing goldenseal and an ultimate cleanser. The test is in a doctors office where they use ph strips and what not...no machines, blood or hair. Could I pass.

Don't worry, I've stopped. NOT because I think its bad...but because its illegal. Would rather change the law than break it.

Oh yeah, smoked homegrown (no visible thc) for a year straight prior to quitting. I'm 5'3" and about 115 lbs.

How long does Xanax stay in your system if you only took it once? 2 bars were taken at one time and none since or before. That was 3 days ago and ofcourse a random drug test today now. This is for a 6'2" 230 lbs guy....didnt know if that mattered or not.

Since last weekend, I have been having an issue with my left eye (one that previously had retinal surgery years ago). When I move my eyeball left or right, up or down, it seems like a gnat floats by quickly. It is sort of a light flash--but faint, but not like the symptoms that I have been reading about on-line. Could this be a sign of detachment? Is it possible that my excessive sneezing due to severe allergies (the pressure of the sneeze) jarred my retina?

It's small and doesnt hurt to the touch, but is hard and can move if i touch it. I first noticed it after I had a large bruise there about two months ago, the bruise went away but the lump hasnt.

I have a little girl who just turned 4. She was adopted from Russia about 3 years ago and I just enrolled this past year in a pre-school program to imporve her speech. It seems that since she has been enrolled in the program she is getting sicker and sicker, just mild fevers. At first I thought it was from being around all children and about 5 months it stopped. About 2 1/2 months ago it started again but this time more routinly, literally a fever every other week. At one point the fever got to 105 and took her to the doctor, got her on meds and that was it, she also had an ear ach at that time. But now she is still getting the fever every other week, it stays about at 101.5 and she complains that her ear hurts. Any ideas on what it could be. I take her to the Dr. and they keep telling me it is going around.
