I just recently got a pap smear, and after the gynecologist stuck her fingers in me and pressed my lower abdomen area it hurt. It still hurts today, but it didn't hurt before my pap smear. Has anyone experienced anything like this, or have an opinion of what it may be?

I remember bleeding for days after my first pap smear. I went back to see my gyno and he said that it was normal.
Your cervix is just irritated because it was something new.
If it still hurts for 5 days or more then you should go back.
It's definitely your cervix but you want to make sure that you don't have a mild case of cervisitis.
Don't worry too much about it because alot of women experience pain/bleeding after their first pap smear.
Just wait a few days and call your doctor if it persists.

This is totally normal, you may feel some slight cramping for a couple of days, the only reason that you are feeling pain after the exam is because those muscles are usually only stretched during pregnancy and childbirth so that is why you are feeling the pain, because those muscles simply havent been stretched before.
