Not possible. Acid Reflux was made up by the OTC drug companies. It is normal and used to be called heart burn. I have never met a single person, or talked to a doctor who knew a person with an eroded esophagus.

Acid reflux disease happens when the acid from the stomach comes up the esophagus, irritating it and giving the person what we call a "heartburn." Some people are more prone to this than others but certain foods (tomatoes, citrus fruit, coffee, chocolate) make it worse. I've had acid reflux for about 4-5 yrs now and usually take Prevacid (prescription only) but you can get over the counter studd like Mylanta, Tagamed etc to relieve the problem. If it gets worse seek medical help, as the acid coming up constantly may cause over the years cancer of esophagus.

The acid is eating away at the lining of your esophagus. I have solved the major portion of my decades fight with indigestion and reflux by having a couple of spoonfuls of apple cider vinegar every day.
This is a more natural solution, without using products that shut down the production of acids in your stomach and basically make the digestion process more difficult.
Good luck and have a good day.

Forget acid reflux. It is just a new fancy term for the same old problem of indigestion due to increased acidity in the stomach which has always invaded the throat.Since it is an acid, it burns so anything that it touches gets burned(outside of the stomach).
Either get help from your doctor or purchase one or any of the antacids on the market and stay away from acidic drinks for a while. Drink some milk or other base property fluids.

I'm not sure if it "digests" the esophagus or not but I know it can cause problems with the esophagus and also the stomach. If you have been diagnosed with this I found Prevacid to be very helpful, as well as Nexium.

yes. Sadly I am a victim to Acid Reflex. Only I have a further stage called Gerd. I had been surfering from stomach problems for more then 4 years before it was diagnosed. I seriously had every test possibly done, and what found it was a endioscopy. Sadly I barely had a Esphagus. Being that doctors couldnt believe that it was in kids. I was 12 When i was diagnosed. I was placed on 21 Pills a day for the longest time, and almost 8 years later i am fine. I know what triggers it ect. You just have to be careful of acidy foods. Hope it helps your question!

The acid is damaging the asophagus and can cause scar tissue if left untreated. See a doctor for a proper diagnosis and treatment.
