I have been in the ER three times in the past 6 days. The initial thought was meningitis, but after a clear spinal tap I was sent home. I have since returned for extreme headaches twice, finally treated with a blood patch last night.

Problem...still miserable...symptoms:
hot flashes (thermometer ranges from 97.9 to 100.4)
nausea
unable to eat
headaches (self-treated by 400 mg of caffeine as needed and up to 800 mg ibupofen--afraid they will be as extreme as before--trying to prevent)
fatigue
stiff neck (not severe though)
extreme back pain (from epidural)
in the past week, finished an antibiotic for a sinus infection (2 days before initial ER visit)
BP was 103/36 yesterday
Pulse was 47
less severe sensitivity to light and noise
irritablity (may be natural after 6 days in bed!)

Initial symptoms included:
chills
fever
sensitivity to light and noise
nausea with severe vomiting after 12 hours
neck stiffness
stiff lower back

any ideas? Thanks!

Ever since I got a concussion in 3rd grade (now i'm an 11th grader) I've had headaches very regularly. But it's strange the ammount of headaches will increase over a period of about a month and then decline and rise again... Now I have headaches maybe 3 times in 2-4 hours. I dont wanna go to the doctor yet till i know what's going on. I just dont understand it... sometimes they're really bad like migranes and then sometimes they're dull and annoying but they vary in places on my head, but for some reason always on the left side... I cant remember what side i was hit on but i know that ever since then I've been having headaches regularly and I used to never have any before the accident. Any information would be helpfull , thank you.

My eyes are doing this weird thing. Ok, so they like cross really quick for like 2 seconds, on their own, and then go back to normal. IDK if cross is exactly right, but that's the best way I know how to explain it. This used to happen when I was little a lot, but then it only did it a little every so often. But tonight, for some reason, it keeps doing it, and I'm a little worried.

Any ideas what could be going on? Does this happen to anyone out there?

After some recent stressful situations, I've had some pretty bad stomach pains, and I've been having black/dark green stools for a day or so now, and I think I've had an ulcer before (but my doctor was a quack, and didn't do any check ups or tests to diagnose it). I'm curious to know how much blood you'd have to be loosing to change the colour of your bowel movements? (And yes, I do have a new doctor, and an appointment to check things out)

Lately, I have been bruising so easily, I have been sick in the hospital for a couple days but that was a while ago. I have bruses all over, from small to big ones and I have no idea where I got them. (no my husband did not do it) Especially one bruise I have had for about 4 weeks now on my upper thigh area and it hurts more than any of them. Any suggestions why Im bruising ? Thanks

marijuana decreases chances of getting lung problems, can be used as a pain killer, is not addictive, is so much fun, and not to mention is like 3x safer than alchohol. I also want to know where to get marijuana cause i had it at a party but the girl moved to canada and i want to try it again and i dont know where she got it. i dont want to grow it though.

this past week my hearts beating fast like 110 bpm for no apperant reason even when im trying to relax, my head feels hot like its going to pop, and sometimes my heart feels like its beating wierd.
so i went to the hospital to get it checked they said my heart was normal i was just dehidrated or dealing with anxiety.
im drinking lots now so i cant be dehidrated,
anxiety can be it though.. its so wierd though
even when i relax it feels like im going to blow up.
my hearts beating hard. like im going to blow up

When i was younger, i use to stutter, now im in my early twenties and its getting worse. Its really embarrasing bc ppl get turned off by me. The worse thing is guys ask me out, and when i go out with them, they are uninterested in me bc i stutter. What can i do to get help, its eating me up inside.

My stomach hurts only when im walking. its been like this for 3 dayz. i go to the ymca and i run and stuff and im fine , but when im thinking abut it it hurts, and when i lay down wit my nees up it feels better. i had this early on in the year it was werse then but after the 3rd day it was fine. i had the flu in late december too! what should i do?????

Or will the contact cleaning liquid clean all the bacteria, and the sty i have is kind of outside on the eyelid, and the contacts wont touch it..
