I live in Southern California. I need one. If anyone has any doctor referrals for the SD area please let me know. Reason I have trouble finding a doctor is I have no insurance.

i started vomiting last night around 2 am and it has happened 7 times since then. since the first time its been nothing but stomach acids that are coming out because nothing is in my stomach any longer. ive tried taking emetrol and a prescription nausea medication but nothing seems to be working. also, after i throw up i feel completely fine until the next episode comes on and i have no other symptoms. do you have any ideas on why i would be throwing up so much and anything i can do to stop it? thank you so much for any information you can give me.

I felt dizzy, blacked out, and thought I would pass out. Was breathing normal and ate plenty of food.

A referral which has taken 4 months for the counsultant to receive (and only because i requested it and posted it) has finally been received.

I was informed by the consultants secretary to wait 2-3 weeks for a letter with an appointment.

How quick does the consultant have to see you after the referral has been received?

Thank You

I used to naturally sleep 8 hours a night. So if I went to bed at midnight I knew I would wake up at 8 am. Well for the past few months I have been sleeping longer and longer. Now my body naturally wants to sleep 12 hours a night. I went to bed at 11:00pm last night and woke up at 11:00 am. And if I set my alarm to wake me up earlier I feel tired all day. Does anyone know why this would happen, and how I can change it? I don't want to sleep half my day away.

I wear Orthotics in my shoes, recently they have started to smell, (I have had them about 6 months) does anyone have any idea what I might be able to clean them with?

The smell has not come from shoes as I have tried switching them into new pairs and I do not wear them for sports.

The Orthotics are not washable as they must not get wet, and I have already tried using a foot spray and fabreeze on them, both of which just added to the smell actually!

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

My 13-month old son just had some routine blood work done and the the pediatrician's office called to say that there was evidence of an elevated platelet count (not leukocytes or anything else - just platelets). We're having that part of the test redone to check for errors and it might just be that, but what are the other possabilities?
- he has not suffered any notable physical injuries and does not show irregular bruising.
- he has had a mild cold which began about 2 days before the initial blood test.
- he has none of the other symptoms of Kawasaki's disease (fever, red eyes, etc).

Any ideas for my paranoid mom of the month crisis?

Stupid Question, I know, but hear me out.

My mind goes in a hundred directions at once. Always has been like that. I have a hard time relaxing, and I'm not sure if I have ever done that. Even if I sit to just chill out, I have a hundred things to think about. I do like to do Sudoku puzzles because it brings some sort of pleasure but it still requires me to think. If I sit and watch a movie or tv show, I fall asleep out of boredom. If I do watch a movie, I have to crochet, read a magzine or work on a crossword puzzle at the same time. When I go for my walks, I have to wear headphones or I will get bored, and I listen to music... but then I always have something on my mind and I have 'conversations' in my mind about things that will be coming up, etc. I am worried that this constant activity will burn out my adrenal glads, and keep putting cortisol into my system. Long term that's not good.

Any suggestions on how to relax? I can't meditate without my mind going on and on.
