You've waited 14 days waiting another 2 days to see your GP is better than not seeing him or her at all.
Be sensible make that appointment and keep it.

Is there actually a lump that you can see, or do you feel as though you have a lump in your throat like as if you've swallowed a small marble and its got stuck if this is the case I guess you have Globus it's an anxiety thing that causes the muscles in your throat to tighten up thus making it feel like you have a lump in your throat, it will go away in in due course I can assure you.
The blood your bringing up is probably due to fact that your trying to remove the feeling of obstruction in your throat by coughing and making yourself sick this will have caused your throat to be a bit raw.
I had Globus myself several years ago and went to doctors numerous times he kept telling me nothing was wrong, but I wasn't convinced so he sent me to a specialist they examined me and said nothing was wrong, and told me about the anxiety condition of Globus and the symptoms described were exactly what I had the Top doctor even gave me a special mirror so I could see right down my throat to prove there was nothing there and I haven't had it since.
Good luck let us know how you get on.

Oh...I have had the same thing. I went to the doctor and he made me have a blood test two weeks ago and I haven't heard a thing yet!!!! I phoned NHS last night and spoke to them about it and they told me to go and see the doctor today but I forgot it was his half day and tomorrow I have to go to another hospital with my husband as he is having an operation. I brought up blood on two consequetive Mondays. If you manage to see a doctor before me please let me know what he says.

See your doctor, for sure, but don't worry yourself too much. If it is near your tonsils it could just be tonsil stones, which are icky and irritating but perfectly harmless, and you can bring up blood a bit trying to remove em. Consider that at least.
Wish you well.

"only to bring up blood in my phlegm"
don't you think that is a sure sign to see another doctor if your doctor would see you

Why can't your Dr.see you?
Be on the doorstep of the surgery or get to the hospital
your Dr. sounds a bit callous.

Ring your GP surgery and tell them you need to be seen. They can't refuse you if it's an emergency.
