No it is not. All the crap you read on the internet is from companies trying to sell you test-clean products. If a company uses a testing regimen that may not be clear, they are required to get a written statement of every medicine you are taking. If they don't do this (most don't) they use a regimen that is very accurate that will not give a false positive from other drugs.
If you aren't taking any illegal substances, then you have nothing to worry about :) Best wishes!!!

Sure, it is possible to fail a drug test...before you take a drug test you should be mindful of what you have eaten, tell them all the medication you are on.
" It should just be noted that the primary purposes of drug testing are to:
1) Fatten the wallet of the drug testers.
2) Catch pot smokers.
Anyone who uses heroin, meth, cocaine, or alcohol (the drugs that should really be a concern to employers) can test clean with about 24-48 hours of abstinence. You can spend the weekend blitzed on all of them and test clean by Monday morning. Marijuana, on the other hand, can be detected for weeks.
In short, drug testing is a well-known hoax that was originated by the former head of the DEA along with other government officials. They came up with the idea, touted it to some of their reefer madness politician friends and became instant millionaires when it was supported by Federal laws. At no time was there any proof that it actually achieves what it claims.
But, to address the points made -- most employers don't follow Federal standards. Therefore, while the arguments made might apply to some, it clearly wouldn't apply to all. That's not to mention the fact that none of these testing companies are exactly perfect in their procedures. That is also not to mention that -- even with the provisions for retesting -- any false positive is going to cause trouble for the person who came up falsely positive. Retesting can be expensive, and lots of employers simply don't want to do it."

Yes, it is possible to fail a drug test with certain meds, Of course tell whoever is giving the test what you are on. Some that can and often do are antidepressants, also anytype of Narcotic pain meds, such as Tramadol, moraphine, most products with codine such as Tylanol 3. Also muscle relaxers. Just be honest and be prepared to show them your meds.

Just "declare" what has been prescribed to you.
No surprises, no blame.
