If you're sick from the neck down, don't exercise!!!

It really wouldn't help any because a higher heart rate or your muscles aren't what fights off the bacteria or virus causing your sickness, it's something that happens internally at a much smaller level. Just rest and wait until it goes off if it's nothing serious, or just get some medicine or go to the doctor. Excersizing wouldn't really help.

From experience I can tell you that my running which I do everyday does not seem to overly prolong a cold and in fact I usually feel better during and immediately afterwards. Typically cold symptoms last just a few days so if it gets over 1 week then see your doctor.

Listen to your body. Exercise is good for you but you can do too much. It you are sick you definatly shouldn`t exercise. It can make you more ill and in some severe cases can cause you to pass out. Get the right amount of exercise and remember that your body needs exercise but it also needs rest to recover properly.

NO! Part of exorcise methodology is listening to your body. If you really feel rotten, it is your body telling you that it needs a rest and a chance to heal. If you're patient during times like this, You will soon be back on program. The main goal of exorcise, is to be able to continue, next month, next year, and ten years down the road. Best of Luck!!!

I actually find exercising when sick to be a great way to feel better, at least during the exercise and shortly after. It helps clear my nasal passages for easier breathing, and clears my head.

So it doesn't hurt, but if you don't feel like exerting yourself then don't, listen to your body, it's the best judge for these things.

No, you should relax when your sick. You will run your body down and feel even worse. It wont hurt to take a couple days orr, just get back in your normal routine once you feel better.

not much if you do... its important for the body to relax and recupperate when sick. A little exercise to get the blood flowing wouldn't hurt but I'd probably wouldn't swim. Jog a little and see how you feel.

No way... you're body needs rest in order to heal. Take a hot shower followed by a good long nap.

I don't think your supposed to exercise while your sick
but I'm not an expert. Maybe start up again when you
don't feel so tired.
