Last night I was in class just listening to the lecture, feeling fine and out of nowhere I had intense pressure on my chest and throat. I could't speak at all, and the only way I can describe the feeling in my throat was If I had swallowed a HUGE piece of steak and it was having trouble going down, but I could breathe fine. I had to get up and leave in the middle of the class and when I got into my car and tears just streamed from my eyes.I went home and took some asprin and fell asleep. Today there is a little pressure but not nearly as painful as yesterday . this was so odd and really embarassing... should I see a doctor?

I was Googling today to see if I could find any accounts of people having plastic surgery to remove their belly button, but all I found were articles about *improving* a belly button, such as making an "outie" into an "innie" and so on. What I want to know is, is it possible to have one's belly button completely removed, so they no longer appear to have one?

Knowing how important the procedure is, I cannot again tolerate drinking ALL that liquid...it will prevent me from having this important test again....I did not mind the procedure, as you hardly know what is going on as you are put out a little and frankly, don't care...help, I need something that will clean out the system that is not barbaric

I am interested to know about people's experience with sadness, what they done about this problem, if they taken antidepressants or not, and why.
I am very sad all the time, and can't sleep.
I was thinking about going to my family doctor to ask him to give me some medicine that would make me feel less sad and make me to fall asleep at night... But I read on the internet that antidepressants cause side effects like: sexual dysfunctions, dry mouth, insomnia, low blood pressure (I already got insomnia and low blood pressure... I don't want to get other things on top of those...)
I was thinking about taking antidepressants for a few days... but do they work if I take them just for 5 or 7 days?

What did you do (or some people you know) with depression? Have you (or the person you know with depression) come out of depression in a satisfying way?

I want to ask one more important question, but there's no more space, wait a minute until I write it on a next page.

I've had this on my top eyelid for a couple of years now. It dosn't hurt and kind of just appeared there. I went to the doctors and he said something about it being a blocked tear gland and i could have it removed. But i don't like the sound of is there anyway of getting rid of it another way? I have tried hot compresses etc and thats not worked. It dosn't show when i have been asleep but after a couple of hours of being awake or if i get tired you can notice it.So i kind of have to lay down in the day before i go out so it sort of relaxes it and it don't show!! What can i do?

My grandmother has Parkinsons, a thyroid condition, high and low blood pressure, a heart merrmer, depression and her vision is bad. Mentally shes seems to be getting worst Lying to one part of the family about the other.

Should I excuse her because shes sick even though her actions are causing problems for the entire family?

She lives with my family but she makes it seem to her other grandkids and kids that we are hurting her or something. I just need an opinion if shes really aware of her actions.

I'm an idiot when it comes to medical terms and couldn't find anything online.
Around 2AM last night I received a call from my brother who told me my neice (his daughter) was taken to the local clinic yesterday for a bad cough. (I was with her all day Sunday and she was perfectly fine.) Here goes the medical terms so I'm clueless but something was swollen (I think it started w/ an "e") so they gave her some type of tube to help her breate (ventilator?) and during the process the doctor ruptured her lung. They were going to airlift her to Dallas but a room came open at the local hospital so they took her there in the ambulance and she's in critical condition. She's hooked up to a ventilator and the last thing I heard this morning is they think she has an infection, maybe pneumonia. I just came to work for now, there's nothing I can do at the hospital anyway but I am going to go see her later this morning. Is this something that will just heal on it's own? Future probems?
