Depends what type of painkiller she took. Over the counter i.e...Paracetamol, Aspirin etc, should not cause this reaction. The important factor is, why did she need to take a painkiller? Check out the reason, this could be what's causing the sickness and feeling dizzy, not the tablet. Get her to a doctor or hospital. Good luck

By now you shouldn't be reading my response, but on the way to the e.r., so I will just ask you, what kind of painkiller did you give her that didn't "say an age" on the bottle? Every bottle I know under the sun has directions as far as age - except for prescriptions. It sounds , from the effects, like you gave her a narcotic analgesic. Tylenol does not cause nausea, and NSAIDs may cause stomach pain and some nausea, but shouldn't cause dizziness. Do not give your daughter any prescription meds. that weren't given to her by a doctor in the future.

It should say on the bottle what to do if overdose.....whether or not to induce vomiting, etc.

Call poison control. The number should be on the bottle.

Take her to the Emergency Department. TAKE THE BOTTLE WITH YOU

Anything you do, you need to be able to estimate how much she took. Was the bottle completely full when she started? Half full?

Realize that at 12, most likely it will be seen as a suicide attempt. LET THEM DO THE PSYCH EVAL. It won't hurt anything, and could help tremendously.

There are 1-800 numbers in every community for overdose emergencies, look in the front of your phone book, or just call the local hospital... I can't believe you'd waste time on the PC like this, when your child's life is at stake... also, your spelling is atrocious!

Call your mom right now and tell her. You are probably just feeling the effects of the pain killer. I know you are asking as if you are the mom. I know better, I'm a mom. You are going to be okay, just call your mom or dad and let them know so they can check on you.

Call the poison control center. Or, call 911-have the medics come and evaluate her/condition.
