As recommended by the other answerer's, you really need to go to the doctor. Antibiotics specific for the bacteria causing the infection is the best treatment. A sample of urine for a urine culture can tell your doctor this. Meanwhile, now and while you are taking the antibiotics, drink plenty of fluids to flush out your kidneys and bladder. It dilutes the urine which makes going to the bathroom less painful as well.

You really should go to the doctor, or contact a gynecologist. I have many friends who have had urinary tract infection and it is better if you solve this problem as soon as possible.

Have your doctor culture you urine so he knows exactly what bacteria is causing the UTI. Take the antibiotics until they are gone and then have the doc restest your urine to be sure the infection is gone. Most docs don't retest your urine any more so if the doc didn't order a retest be sure to let him know if you are still having symptoms once the medicine is done. Do let a UTI go untreated or it can cause a kidney infection or go into your bloodstream.

Lots of water, cranberry juice, and barley water...boil a packet (probably 500 gms) of it in water (according to whatever instructions), boil it, cool it, then have it at regular intervals and usually this works the best...and then ofcourse, you have to visit the doctor...cos' it could lead to something serious, if not cured with some professional advise

Try 80 to 100 % Cranberry juice for three days, yogurt every two weeks and more water. Stop eating candy and soda that have a lot of sugar and corn syrup in them. Your UTI will go away.
