her problem seems to be more due to mental stress. ask her to relax, meditate, and eat healthy diet like fruit and vegetables. less fat\oil in the diet and omit spices too.

First step should always be to get a proper diagnosis from a gastroenterologist. they can check the instestines with a barium meal test. (you swallow barium which is opaque and then take x-rays of the small intestine. Then there is the colonoscopy or sigmoidoscopy. These are able to visually detect any abnormalities in the surface of the intestine that could indicate Diverticullitis, Crohn's Disease or Colitis.
also there are many parasites that could be responsible. Only specialist stool tests can detect these. regular pathology frequently misses them. A new announcement recently implicated the parasite D. Fragilis as a primary cause of Irritable bowel disease.

Oh i have the best thing ever for this! Papaya Enzymes!!
They are small orange chewable pills that absolutely taste delicious!
You can get them at GNC or your local store in the organic section, very natural and very safe, just chew up a few after you eat and your digestion problems will go much more smoothly, Ive got the same problems.

Test her gall bladder. The gall bladder produces bile salts which are supposed to aid digestion. However, in some people the gall bladder goes a bit haywire. This leads to problems with digestion, especially of fatty foods. If it is the gall bladder, the doctor can recommend techniques to deal with it until she is ready to have it removed. Age doesn't really matter with this one. Most people don't have it removed until later (30/40s) but they have had symptoms for years. This is especially true if her family has a history of gall bladder problems.
