I'm about to turn 17 and I'm still 5 feet tall. I've been the same height for years. Will I grow any taller? Is there anything I can do to grow taller? Please only give helpful answers. I have to get surgery on my foot (for a bunion which is like a bone spur)...anyway, its not really major surgery but I do have to be off of it for 6 or so weeks. The bones connecting my big toe (from tip to ankle) has to be broken twice.

Just curious, how exactly does the surgeon break the bone? Is it with special scissor/clamps, or is it more like a hammer? Thanks.

Ok... my dad had the flu or something. On Christmas Eve he weighed himself... Christmas he weighed himself again and lost a total of 11lbs. To me that seems like too much even for the flu. My mom said he's fine... but I am a bit concerned. Could it be just a case of the flu?? Or should he call the doctor? I said to call the doctor ... but they think I am a worry wart. I understand that my dad is a grown man... but I would hate for something to be overlooked. Thank you in advance for you help.

Today at work my ears started ringing. For a minute every sound was very dull. Then it popped and I could hear normally again. It didn't last long but I'm just wondering why it did it. This does not happen often but is it something to worry about?

I have bad headaches very frequently so I'm suspecting that they could be migranes. I don't want comments like "go to a doctor" because I have been, and I am going to go again. I'm just wondering, what are auras? They are hints that you are going to get a migrane, right? So what kinds of hints? How would I know if I have them? (Doctors have asked me if I get them and I usually say no, but I don't know.)

Symptoms:
Running nose
sneezing
post nasal drip (causing cough)
sinus pain.
If i take a decongestant, it stops the running nose, but causes my head to feel, in the clouds.

No, i didn't really mean it thay way. And no, i am not mentally ill. Please let me explain. I am teaching a class about blood. You know...the fluid tissue that flows through your arteries and such. Can you guys think of an activity that has to do anything within the category of "Blood" that gets the kids out of their seats without actually seeing someone's blood seeping out of their skin?
