I have to get surgery on my foot (for a bunion which is like a bone spur)...anyway, its not really major surgery but I do have to be off of it for 6 or so weeks. The bones connecting my big toe (from tip to ankle) has to be broken twice.

Just curious, how exactly does the surgeon break the bone? Is it with special scissor/clamps, or is it more like a hammer? Thanks.

4lb. stainless sledge hammer deftly placed and swung with intent to break but not crush the offending bone.

All there tools are just right for the job needed, but I would say a die grinder like tool for that job.
