I recently got my tetanus shot, and it hurt really bad for days. I found out after that if you keep moving and apply heat to the injection site soon after you get the shot it will make the pain go away faster. Make sure you take a couple of tylenol or motrin before you get the shot so it's not so bad. Take deep breaths and find your happy place, maybe it won't be so bad.....

A tetanus shot isn't really any different than any other shot. You may experience some sensiivity in the injection site for a couple of days but other than that, no different.
I don't like needles, just like I'm sure most people don't sit there thinking oh wow, I can't wait to be stabbed in the arm with that needle! I always feel the need to tell whoever is coming at me with a needle that I don't dig needles. LOL!
Just try relaxing or closing your eyes, breathing in and out deeply, counting to ten in your head, and it will be over with before you know it.
Just go in there knowing the shot is for the best for you! Good luck!

Sorry to tell you this, but yes. The actual shot itself doesn't hurt anymore than any other shot, it's much like a bee sting, but your arm will be very sore and achey for a few days. It's important that you relax your arm when you are getting the shot, don't tense up. The good news: you normally only need to get this shot every ten years, so that's the upside. Good Luck, you'll be fine, we all go through it. Chin up! Be tough!

It really does not hurt that bad at all. The needle that they use is really thin and small. Just take a deep breath and then exhale when they put the needle in.

Sorry, but while the shot itself is only as painful as any other needle prick (which is not very), it is likely you will be sore for several days.
