My daughter has to have regular blood tests..the problem is she has a bad phobia of needles.
When she had the last one done (about a month ago) they injected her about 7 times because they couldnt find a vein and when they did they couldnt get any blood from her. As you can imagine she was in a terirble state after and nearly had a panic attack during. Is there anything i can do to help her?
She doesnt look at the needle when they do it, she grips onto my hand and we have tried everything. They cant giver her anything for it because they said "they need a clean sample"
What can i do she is 15...

There is a sweet spot straight ahead and high on the glasses where I am 20-15 with corrected lenses. The bifocal part works fine when I'm reading. Why can't the sides (above the bifocal) have the correct focus?

I have felt this sharp pain in my left side before, but it had gone away within a matter of a day. This time it has been there for almost 4 days. I don't have health insurance, or else I would have gone to the doctor's already, but if the general concensus is that it is serious I'll go.

I am 17, i am taking a gap year from school to do voluntary work, i work at the local PDSA vets hospital, i do charity fundraising, i work with young children who have disabilities and help run a charity shop in the town center. I am now wanting to give blood. I have called our hospital, the give blood helpline and they said in order to do so i have to be 17 or over (which i am) the only problem is my mum is trying to get to me to change my mind of the whole idea. She was brought up by some strange religious beliefs which i chose not to follow. What can i do to get her off my back? I dont want to end up hating her but will at this rate :(

I'm 15, We did some sex ed. the other day where there was a few plastic penis' and loada condoms going round the class for education purposes. at the end of the session we were free to take condoms if we wished. But doesn't this encourage underage sex maybe. Because condoms are being handed out obviously not pregnancy increase I said that to get more answerers. what do you think?

My 17 year old daughter wants to give blood. She has looked it all up and you have to be 17 or over to do so, she has had tests done and has been given to go ahead.
The problem is, i dont agree with it. I have told her i dont like the idea, and she just said she wants to help people how ever she can. She is already doing vouluntary work at a PDSA surgury, helping to run a charity shop and works with children with a disabilty at weekends...now she is giving blood...what can i do to change her mind????

In Australia there are strict guidelines to giving blood and one of them is whether you have lived in the UK for 6 months from 1980 to 1996. (your not allowed to donote blood if you did)

Anyone know why?
