I have been taking Ibuprofen for the pain, but the pain keeps coming back after a few hours. I have had jaw injury in the past on the same side, is it possible that the pain might be related to that?

I have tried Prozac in the past but could not stay on it indefinately. I also get times when I am not pulling and am very upbeat and positive, getting stuck into a project, but this never lasts very long before I start loosing interest and at some point start pulling again. Can any one suggest an effective natural therapy to help me? I am desperate as I know I will never have a boyfriend again as long as i am a bald freak!!

my friend had an abortion 6 months ago.
her mom forced her into it,
dragged her into the clinic.

ever since,
all my friend does is cry.
she drinks excessively,
cuts herself,
wants to kill herself,
runs around drunk asking about her aborted son.

her mom just sits there,
tell her to stop crying,
that she has nothing to cry about.
she is pretending nothing has happened.

she knows what my friend is doing to herself,
yet does nothing.

is this considered neglect?
i want to help my friend,
and if that means calling CPS,
i will.

i just want to be sure before i call that it is neglect or at least mental and/or emotional abuse

We've been best friends 20+ yrs and she's 41. She got really upset over some things her father said to her and tried to hurt herself. She cut herself with a knife, more scratches than anything. She's always felt like she's disappointed him and has never quite measured up. I was about to take her for inpatient admission when she snapped out of it and started making sense. She has since realized how serious this was but refuses to seek medical/psychiatric attention. I'm a nurse and I've talked to her in-depth and pulled no punches about how serious this is and says she understands and does not want to hurt herself. It scared her very much which I think was a good thing. She had a long talk w/ her Mom & Dad and says she feels much better but won't tell her husband. My question is: Do I sit on this, just pay very close attention or do I tell her husband?

I am schizophrenic and I wonder sometimes if it is actually a bad thing. First, I want to specify what schizophrenia is because there is a popular misconception...Schizophrenia is characterized by inability to distinguish \what is real and may also induce hallucinations of sounds or images. Schizophrenic people are known to have high IQ scores and are usually thought to be very intelligent. I have been labeled a 'genius' from an iq test a few years back and sometimes I wonder...I don't know if I am insane or if I am just seeing more clearly than others. I don't think that schizophrenics hallucinate, I think they see things that other people cannot. I also think that the whole thing about perception of reality is actually the result of having an extremely open mind. If you think about it the way I do, schizophrenia is actually a gift. What do you think?

Or your best technique? Like reading, names, basic vocabulary. Aside from from the obvious.
The reason I ask is because I have been through some times that were difficult, and I believe that I taught myself to block out difficult things, but I think I have trained my memory to do this with everything. It makes life very difficult, especially when I communicate.

Americans use more anti-depressant, anti anxiety drugs, than any other country. Why do you think this is? Are physicians dispensing them as a cure all, or do Americans have more depressive type illnesses than other countries? In you opinion why do we have more depressive type illnesses? Is it our enviroment, food, what? All opinions welcomed.

Just wondering. There's so many suicides in the world but it seems like no one knows anyone who has actually done it. Or at least that's my perception.

I know of this kid in high school who did it, but I never really knew him. I said maybe 10 words to him. When he died, no one even knew. I think I'm the only one that still thinks of him. So sad...

Has anyone ever heard of a link between caffeine and depression? And if there is a link, is it that caffeine contributes or can cause depression? Anyone know of any links about this if it exsists? Any information would be great.

My little problem?
haven't had a wet dream in a long time(3 months),i started sleeping nude, beleive it or not that helped. It seems i often end up "rowdy"(replacement 4 that other word) when i haven't talked to my girlfriend in a while. We've both been busy,i haven't talked to her in two days. And out of no where, last night i dream about her and there it happened. I always wake up after it happens. And it was on my covers,so i got up and got a towel wet and dry and cleaned off my sheet and turned them to the other end of the bed. What can i do to stop wet dreams? I thought is was a phase and it would never happen again,it started right back. HELP ME!!!!,IS i my hormones, what the heck is wrong? Do not say masturbate,i never have masturbated, and probably never will,i don't want to,it kind of seems weird to me.
