We need a LOT more information to be able to answer your question. Depending on what type of handicap and its severity, there are always groups and institutions that can help them and their caregivers.
Please go into a little more detail about the nature of the handicap and the type of help (respite care, long term residential care, rehab, etc.) that you're trying to find. I'll edit my answer and see what I can do to help.

if i have a handicapped adult and nobody wants to deal with him,i will not,i think, give him up like other because he is my son. i have to persuade other that do not ignore the handicaps as they are also the important elements in society, and they are also the significate aspect to develop our country. as a result do not have any discrimination to handicap.
now i have some question to ask you back.in order to make my classmate not have the discrimination to the handicaps,i chose a presentation topic "no discrimination to the handicaps",but now i did not find any source. any way, could you introduce me the webside about this or the book about this.
your faithfully.

Im not sure what you mean, are you trying to place that person or get medical help? Theres insurance questions, are they insured? do they need Medicare or medicaide? Are you looking for a nursing home or catered living facility? Are they mentally handicapped or is it physical? I would call the dept of social services first and go from there. You could try the Department of Aging in your county also. Dont give up!

First off, it really depends what type of care does the person need? There are managed care specialist that can answer your issues. I suggest talking to your primary care provider for that person, something the HMO would cover. I personally would think that the handicapped person would want a say in what happens to them, it is thier choice too. You might want to consider talking to them and see what they would be comfortable with, it is a living issue and quailty of life.
Sometimes it is hard to deal with the medical part since some need 24 hour care.

You should ask a professional first. If you are thinking of putting them into a nursing home please research the home well because there is a lot of neglect and abuse in some homes. If I were you I'd consider someone for in home care.
