seek counseling, or just some good ol' "you time"... you need some sort of release, or something just for you. go bowling, fishing, something... talk to a counselor on this, maybe you can hang in there!

What about some respite care? Contact your social service center and ask. Maybe a day or so of rest for you every now and then will help you. You didn't mention what kind of handicap your daughter has, you might post that to help others help you. I can only imagine how hard it must be, I work with kids as my job, some with disabilities, and know how tiring it can be for just the half an hour I see them. Maybe she needs different meds or an increase in dosage. I pray that things get better for you.

You don't say where you live. Many states in the US have programs for exactly what you're going through. I know, I used to work for one in the state of PA. I know here they have programs where trained professionals will come into your home between 5 and 40 hrs per week to help teach your child anger management skills as well as socially acceptable behavior. This does not cost the parent one red cent. You need to look for social service agencies in your area to see what is available to you. The sooner you get your daughter on the right path the better.

well.... a lot of the people on mystery diagnosis emailed different doctors all around the country... That is how a few found help. Try it .. ALSO try calling the newspaper.. I had a reporter come and do a story on me .. the medicine I took for headaches .. needed to be refilled my doctor( unbeknown ) moved to a different country... so in order to get the meds refilled ... they wanted to put me in the hospital for a month to get a refill???? So I stopped the meds and went to the paper. I got help..
They tell you to hang in there because they dont know what else to say... and usually that is when you find an answer.

Unfortunately, our culture has not yet found a solution for many of our illnesses.
If the violence is getting too bad then it may be time for an institution. They are not really a good solution but they are way better than having family dealing with violence that is beyond their control. That path will eventually lead to her being in the institution also, but as an orphan, as you may end up dead. Better to do it before it gets to that point. At least she will have someone to visit her if she goes now.
You have all my sympathy.

Maybe you can seek medical advice from overseas, I have heard of people who travelled to say, America from Australia where there was a new drug or new surgery not yet available in Australia

they tell you to hang in there-because sometimes that s all you can do is deal with it-with whats here and now-forget the past-dont look to the future--just here just now---sounds like you need a break-is there anyone who could help out and just give you some time out for yourself? I feel sorry for your pain,,,you are in my prayers...
