I am on disability. It has been about 5 years since I last held a job. I have been seriously thinking about going back to work. What scares me the most and what I think the reason I got fired so offten was my lack of organizational skills. The inability to learn them and a problem of being able to priortize them. I was wondering if this could be a problem that might be a common one among people with bipolar disorder.

I have this irational fear of leaving messages on peoples answering machines. It makes me seem like a stalker because i will continually call them untill someone picks up. I only do this because i need to talk to them but can not seem to be able to leave a message. I am not actually afriand of anything, its just something inside of me that will not allow me to speak/say anything when the machines turns on. This is making it very hard for me to make psychiatric appointment since 99 out of the 100 doctors I have called want you to leave a message and they will call you back with an appoinment/info/etc. Dont pyschiatrists know that not everyone is able to leave messages? What can I do because I am coming to the end of my wits and cant seems to get any help because of this limitation?

is this THAT common?

i remember when i was about 11, i disclosed this "secret" information to a girl friend of mine. and she told me ever so nonchalontly that her dad molested her too. then asked if i wanted to play barbies.

since then i have met so many women as well as my gay best male friend that were molested as children.

again, is this THAT common? if so.. WTF?!?! why isn't more being done about this!?!?!?!?

After you've had a bad day..or week...or life. And you're really stressed out, angry, sad, ect. Would it make you feel better if someone told you how much worse it could be? Why or why not?

This forum has something special to many people. Is this special and relaxing to you? Does it help your stress level to talk to strangers who do not know who you are about certain problems, and do you respect their opinions?

My husband was just put on Zoloft for anxiety/depression. He has been sleeping way more than usual and seems pretty out of it. It has been a little over a month, has anyone else had these effects and did they go away?

I have a history of depression, and I've sometimes found myself having intense rages in which I think very irrational thoughts I normally wouldn't think. I hate it when this happens, because I feel like I'm a completely different person and that I'm losing my grip on reality. A psychiatrist once told me that the rages sounded like they were symptomatic of depression. Am I alone here? Does anyone have any insight?

hes always quiet. and when I ask him if he wants to something, he either ignors me or yells at me. I want to spend time with him but he just wants to be alone. It just breaks my heart to go through that. I think its because of the medication hes on for his convulsions. my mom does'nt help much either shes always telling him off. I just want things to be normal. I want to look forward to going home after work and everything is calm, instead of walking into war zone.

Thanks for reading.
Juan.

Ever since I have been diagnosed with anxiety and depression a year ago, I have been having problems being in public and meeting people alone. Even a simple action as to pay for my groceries at the supermarket would start to make me sweat. Sometimes, I would feel uncomfortable around people and I might tend to sweat. But if I am with some familiar faces (ie friends and family), non of these problems will happen.

Anyone know what can I do to stop these things? I wanna socialize and have fun like how a normal human should!

I have been with him for almost 5 years and the last two he has gotten into drugs. He knows he has a problem but really doesn't want help. He thinks he can beat this on his own. I am pretty deep into our relationship and have made my last stand. Either he gets help or I'm gone. I understand only he can help himself but I'm growing concerned for his safety and the safety of his family. What is the best way to handle the situation?
