Dear girl, don't you know that when people act like they're better than you because of their higher status job, or when they make more money, it is because they are projecting their own insecurities onto you?
They do not really think that they are better then you. They just want YOU to think that they are better than you, because they WANT to be. They suffer from inferiority issues, and they overcompensate by projecting those feelings of insecurity.
We all want to feel important, acknowledged, admired, and appreciated (for the same reasons you made this remark under the guise of a question). It's just bad form for these people to validate themselves at the expense of others. Healthier people such as yourself, find self acceptance and worth through accomplishing things, rather than bringing others down.
They just do not know a better way. They lack your self acceptance and coping skills. You should forgive them for these shortcomings and pity them. Take the high road. Rise above their pettiness.
I hope that this gives you some comfort and insight. Maybe the next time someone disses you, you will remember to think to yourself "now just WHO are you trying to convince (of your superiority)?" And you will find some peace and dignity.

Tell you what really really really annoyed me this morning and every morning for that matter, sitting in a huge queue of rush hour traffic leading up to a roundabout, 2 lanes, one to go straight on and left and the other to turn right at the roundabout....so there I am...sitting, waiting, wishing my darn life away and there they go the total piss takers who think there journey is way more important than anybody elses and go screaming past all the traffic with their indicators beeping right...only to cut some poor sod up at the roundabout when they cut in the queue to go straight on....oh and if you are the knob jockey that did it to me this morning and nearly took the front of my car off...cheers, hope you have a real crappy day and that a bird poooops on your head....aaaaaaaaaargh...and breathe, and calm and breathe and calm....

well for example today ! (on Friday i have an inset day ) i was in school and then a letter came round the class saying could various people named go to Mr butlers room at break , i was one of those people . it turns out we have been chosen to go into school on Friday , when its meant to be the inset day , because loads of young children are coming to my school for a taster day , we have been chosen to chaperone them . This is so unfair , why do the good people always have to do crap stuff like this !!!!! And the naughty people get the day off ??? how is this fair !

People who wont admit when they are wrong
people in shops or town that knock into you and don't say sorry
the same as you these people who think they are above others

People are people are People. It may be that the very people you find annoying because of their attitude to you are equally annoyed by your attitude to them.

It's meant to be a joke but it rings true. Deep breath, and be as pleasant and polite as you possibly can be..... it drives ignorant people nuts!

what really bugs me is stupid drivers. i see people driving going from lane to lane' no blinkers. thats mostly on the freeway. another thung that gets my goat is people honking there horns for no reason ;like when your trying to turn in the car and cars are flying by. and some idiot is honking at you;to hurry and youcan;t unless youn wan;t to get smashed sideways. people that speed there school crossing is pretty stupid too. people now days annoy me to ;cause you can get killed for looking at someone the wrong way is noy annoying that just stupid...

When people put others into classes - upper class, middle class etc. what does it matter? we are all the same. Makes the rich people feel better I suppose but it make my blood boil.
Oh and another one is when people don't answer my texts straight away.

Things in general are the guy next door who lets his dog crap over here, people who are honking in traffic (like that moves the people along faster) and stupid people.

People who have no idea what they are talking about, but try to act like they do. Usually these are your low-intelligence people,and they always want to try and make you uncomfortable and nervous. I just stay calm, look them in the eye, and remind myself that I am smarter than they are.
