Deep concentrated breathing. In through the nose, out through the mouth. Slow. several minutes of this should calm heart rate and your mind.

Physically like to do Yoga basic warm up exercises. Mentally do some progressive relaxation techniques. Start with your toes tensing and relaxing and work up to your tongue.

Do some deep breathing exercises.
Breathe in deeply for a count of 8, hold your breath for a count of 8, then exhale in a slow, controlled manner for another count of 8. Breathing like this will calm you down tremendously.
