I am one of those people who worries about EVERYTHING. Even stuff that hasnt happened or might not happen. Im always thinking well "what if this happens" or "what if that happens". I feel like everyones out to get me. I dont know why, ive had alot of bad experiances with alot of different stuff happening in my past and i have a fear of these things happening again. I just cant quit worrying. Its running my life. Ive tryed to talk to my mom about it and tell her how im feeling with the hopes that that would help me feel better but she kinda just blows me off and tells me to quit worrying. Also i try to talk to my boyfriend and he does the same thing, but sometimes he makes remarks about stuff im worried about that hurts my feelings. So my question is how can i get this worrying me to go away? What do you do to releive worrying? Thanks for anyone who answers this seriously. Im to the point that i just dont know what to do anymore, im so sad all the time just thinking about stuff happenin

My sister (an adult) is constantly obsessed and worried about her health. She will pass out at doctors office and cannot even see a gynecologist without becoming very ill. She consumed with thought about possibly having cancer (which isn't really warranted) She doesn't take madeicine that she doesn't need or anything like a hypocondriac, or thinks she has diseases that she doesn't have, she'll just worry like crazy about it. She just finally saw a psychiatrist/psychologist who wants to prescribe her something for it, but she's scared that it will affect her in a bad way. I can't remember what the med. is though. Have any of you experienced this and have been put on medicine to help you be less obsessive? Here doctor also told her to take Benadryl to calm herself down today. If you have any experience or advice that might her her with this problem, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

By disconnecting myself from reality as much as possible, living in my dreams and memories, and pretending life is as I want it rather than the way it is, for any part of life that meets with my disapproval. This is not technically sucide, so should be ok (ie not a sin, not immoral, etc..)

Mine first and foremost rule would be no office gossip and anyone who makes this place uncomfortable for others will have to leave. In the office policies I would specify if you don't like it here, just don't take the job. You have to spend most of your waking hours in this place and ppl need to get along like family. Yes we have some family that we only say hello and goodbye to too. I would not want to run an office that makes ppl hate to get up and come to work. Some jobs can literally make ppl sick.

i have the worst fear of being alone. Its hard to explain but i feel as though something is going to attack me or some thing. in my other question i stated that cant sleep. it scares me when it's dark out and i'm alone in my room.

i have a cat and he sleeps in my room with me but my sister said that she learned that if a person dies in there sleep that the cat will eat them. i dont believe that but it still scares me.

I'm in college and kind of broke, so I can't waste money going to the wrong kind of doctor. After studying the symptoms over the last few years, I'm 99% sure I have a debilitating case Social Anxiety and want an official diagnosis down on paper. Which kind of doctor gives that official diagnosis?

For the last 2 decades, I often dream that I'm unable to stop my car. It's never like I'll crash and die, but always something like gently bump into another car or just going down a very gentle slope.

If I decide to pull the handbrake, I pull it all the way up to the roof of the car, litteraly!

I'm not asking what it means because I don't believe dreams have meanings, but anyone has a similar dream?

I have this problem since I was 12 years old. I didn't know pornography until that day; I had an cursh on it. Then I continue doing it in a weekly basis. When I got to college, I got very nervious in exams, so I would masturbate to "relax my self". The worst of it was in the last semester of college when I got an Hernia becuase I was too tense in final projects. I was in a surgery to solve that problem. After 2 years from that, I continue to do masturbation at night. It seems I can't sleep if I don't do it. I want to quit doing it. What should I do?

outside my new apartment there are trees which are home to what seems like thousands of birds. every morning these birds pirch themselves up on my 10th floor window sill....other birds fly by them and hit the window. sometimes birds will get in a bit of a fight and bang their wings and bodies against the window very loudly

this wakes me up at 6:00 / 6:30 every morning. because i work later i'm usually in bed later and rise later so lately i haven't been getting very much sleep and i am exhausted.

i tried hanging snakes out the window to no avail, the birds don't seem to care about them one way or the other.

any ideas how i could stop this from happening?

i posted this under mental health because it's driving me crazy ;) haha
