i have the worst fear of being alone. Its hard to explain but i feel as though something is going to attack me or some thing. in my other question i stated that cant sleep. it scares me when it's dark out and i'm alone in my room.

i have a cat and he sleeps in my room with me but my sister said that she learned that if a person dies in there sleep that the cat will eat them. i dont believe that but it still scares me.

I think it's quite possible that you are suffering from some kind of anxiety disorder. If these feelings are interfering with your day-to-day activities, you need to seek out the help of a therapist or psychologist who can give you counselling and methods to overcome your anxieties. This condition is very common and manifests itself in a variety of ways in different people.

I have a fear of being alone too, but not to the extreme you do. Yeah, a cat will eat off of you, but only when there is no one there to care for them. They will find food (in that case, you) any way they can. But, if there is someone there to feed the cats, they wouldn't do that to you, or anyone else.

I sorta have the same thing....just not so bad that it keeps me from sleeping. But when i am alone my mind starts to play tricks on me and i keep thinking i am seeing things....the best thing is to distract yourself from it, try to put on a movie you love and that makes you laugh and it might help keep your mind off of what is scaring you.

Can you leave a night light on? Or the radio ,TV, or something. If you are already not sleeping it`s not like its going to keep you up.

You may seem some sort of therapy.

Unfortunatly, I have heard of stories where people died in their room and their pets have eaten them because no one knew they were in there.
