I am annoyed by the thoughtless suggestions that have appeared. Being in the wrong body is a very serious issue, and causes untold suffering to the individual concerned. I suggest you do everything you can to make the situation right. Firstly, go to your GP and explain the situation. You may not get anywhere so start saving up now. Write as may letters as you can to people who may be able to help you with the finance, eg radio, tv shows. Try and get on chat shows and appeal.

There's no other way. You need to save up the money to get what you really want, it would be worth it in the end, even if it takes a long time. You could take out a loan, but that can get stressful. Don't go to a bad cheap doctor because that's how so many people get undesired results.

Sorry, you;re in the hands of medical opinion here. Sex change etc will only be performed on NH if deemed necessary for the mental wellbeing of the individual (ie, if you don;t get it are you likely to break down/ commit suicide). If that is not the case, then it's not deemed essential and you'll have to pay. if you can't pay you can't have, just like me and the Austin Healey 3000M I need to lead a truly fulfilled life.....

Sorry but if you can't afford a sex change you'll have to keep your dangley bits a bit longer.
You'll have to settle for the poor mans sex change.......Tuck your bits and pieces behind you and good make-up will take care of the need for cosmetic surgery.

You are probably going to just have to save it up. I'm pretty sure insurance doesn't cover that kind of surgery. Check with your therapist or any friends who've had it done. They should be able to give you some pointers. I hope this makes you happy!

I'm not belittling you but wear little make-up, don't be overtly sexual and don't dress like a tart. Most trans sexuals tend to think by being over feminine they are convincing. Less is most definitely more....pantomime dames are not attractive. Also....a good fitting wig is better than one from a fancy dress shop.

Don't even dare think about the NHS (as some people have suggested) I will get very f*cked off considering the wait my grandmother has to endure for her hip operation.

If you're in the UK the NHS will pay for it if you live as female for 2 years (where makeup etc).
