For the last 2 decades, I often dream that I'm unable to stop my car. It's never like I'll crash and die, but always something like gently bump into another car or just going down a very gentle slope.

If I decide to pull the handbrake, I pull it all the way up to the roof of the car, litteraly!

I'm not asking what it means because I don't believe dreams have meanings, but anyone has a similar dream?

Do you mean break (like damage) or brake like stop?

It's a classic anxiety dream, where you feel like you're out of control. I have similar ones where I have to get to work, but I can't get my car out of first gear, and I'm crawling along, all the time getting more and more worried that I'm going to be late and there's nothing I can do.

Dreams don't have meanings, but they do reflect your emotions. Typically, you'll get these dreams before big events, or a return to work (like me in the fall - I'm a teacher).

Anyway, yes, I get similar dreams. I also have anxiety dreams about getting delayed on the way to an airport, and so missing my flight.

I always dream that my car turns into something else, like a bicycle or something much slower.

I know you said you don't believe in the meaning of dreams, but when you have the same one over and over, it is usually your mind trying to tell you something you shouldn't be ignoring.

My guess would be that part of your life is out of your control and you really have to struggle to keep it in check. I bet if you dealt with whatever it might be, you'd stop having the dream...just a suggestion.

I have dreamed that I ran a red light through a busy intersection, without causing an accident but then feel the car rising up into the sky, and then inside the dream wonder if I'm dead because it feels so peaceful.

i think you should start believing that dreams have meanings. Dreams are the bi-product of our unfulfilled aspirations, or desires or wishes. Whenever we are unable to fulfill it in reality, it transpires into forms of dreams, therefore it still bespeaks of you directly.
