I hate my life... I'm a single mom, work a crappy job with no hope of promotion or salary increase, I don't have a college degree and then I tried to go to school online and failed one class so I owe money for school. I can't date right now because I have been burned so many times I don't trust anyone and my self-esteem is low an ant couldn't pick it up. What should I do? I just feel generally crappy!!!

I have headache, feeling agressive, dizzy, can not sleep, and I already fainted 2 days ago. Is it related to a tooth surgery I had a month ago, or just a coincidence?

I am currently trying my best to "cold turkey" withdraw from Lorazepam (generic for Ativan). Does anyone have any advice to ease the symptoms of withdrawl (sweats, nightmares, feeling very jumpy, etc.)?

I have suffered from anxiety and panic attacks for many years. Thank G-D I am doing much better now, but I can't seem to stop obssessing about dying. I don't want to die and I keep thinking that I am going to die young. When I was much younger, I had in my mind that I was not going to make it to the age of 30. Now that I am 36 I obsess about dying before 40 (In other words, at anytime now.) I am healthy thank G-D and there should be no reason for me to have these thoughts, but I have lost many freinds and family to tragedies (car accidents 5, drownings 1, illness 2) These thoughts consume so much of my time. Everytime I leave home, I feel that i may not come back. I suffer just thinking about what my wife and children would go through if I was to die G-D forbid. Can anyone relate? Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can cope with this or how to stop these thoughts? Thank you so much.

Does anyone in here been diagnosed or has a mental illness. I.e bipolar/manic depression. Are you on medication or do you risk going with the ups and downs on the illness.

Realistically speaking, the probability of flying like superman won't change based on believing you can, but what about healing, achieving a dream, being a professional athlete... can any of these probabilities change if we believe enough?

I often hear people talking about that they envy someone. The motifs are different: good car, big appartment, straight A-student, happy love life, great body....

I don't have high self-confidence, but still this feeling of jealousy is quite unfamiliar to me. I have been jealous only once, and that's 15 years ago, when my brother was born ( honestly, I don't even remember very well)

Have you ever been jealous and why?

I know that the person is the one that ultimately needs to hit rock bottom and make that decision for themselves, but when that person has hit various rock bottoms, do THEY need to decide to go to AA on their own for it to be effective, or does it still help to encourage them to go? Anyone know anyone who finally made a choice to seek help (and learn to quit) after more than 20 yrs of drinking?

I've had this since I can remember - I get this almost physical sinking feeling inside me at random intervals; it makes me feel the most miserable and wretched I've ever felt. It doesn't feel like normal depression, so I can't work out what it is. It goes away after a few minutes. I often find it is triggered by hunger or being in water, but it can happen at any time, really. Does anybody else get anything that feels like this?

I am going to take an SSRI called Zoloft.

I was wondering, if it is okay (or safe) to take either 5-htp or Vitamin B complexes (Vitamin 1,3,... 12, etc) or L-Tryptophan.

Can I take them all together, or should I take one of them, or should I just take nothing except the Zoloft?

I wish to do so because I want to make my serotonin making rich.

thankx
