this morning i smoked 4 cigarettes and got my usual "buzz" (i have a very low tobacco tolerance) where i was sort of dizzy and sluggish. but then i got really nauseated and threw up some, and i noticed what looked like thin little pieces of dark brownish/maroon tisse, complete with veins. the only thing i can think of is lung tissue - is it possible for someone to actually vomit up pieces of their lungs? i tried to look it up but i can't find anything.

I swear I have tried it all...meditation, warm milk, ambien, tylenol pm, no work in bed, waking up early (I get up naturally around 8-9am, but try to wake up by 6am- 7am), counting sheep (surprisingly the most effective), reading, watching tv. My sleeplessness is a big problem because I am always tired, plus my husband hates me having the tv on when he is trying to sleep
-->leads to him yelling at me. For as long as I can remember I have had trouble sleeping. Even when I do fall asleep, I wake up 3-4 times a night. I have had a physical and seem to be healthy overall. Any other ideas?

I'm turning 25 this weekend and because I am turning 25, I will no longer be on my dad's insurance plan that he has with his work. My job's insurance policy doesn't kick in for several months. I have a pre-existing condition and most insurance companies require you to be on their plans for up to 6 months before they'll recognize my condition. The only problem is, my condition is acting up and by the time I go to get help from a doctor for it, I will be off my dad's plan so I am wondering if it would be likely to stay with the insurance agency under my own name so I wouldn't have to go through the waiting period?

My husband had his left knee replaced (he is 54, and was diagnosed with severe arthrits as a consequence of polio). The procedure was done in February of 2006, and after therapy, he got to the point where he could walk without pain. However, for the past 6 - 8 weeks, his knee is swelling up so much that he is having a hard time walking, going up or down stairs and even driving. We've been to his doctor's office 2 times and my husband had full blood work looking for infections and a bone scan. Both tests came back normal - no infection and no dislocation of the new joint but the swelling still comes and goes - it is almost like one day with swelling, one day without. He has tried Ibuprofen, icing the knee, keeping it elevated, gentle massage and nothing is working. He just had a prescription for Celebrex filled out but it doesn't seem to work either.
Now for the question: Would you have any idea of what could be causing this problem? Can't find specific answers anywhere!

This time I didn't get a bruise but I have a lump near where the needle was in the vein and when I touch it it's sore....I'm scared to work out cuz I like to work out for a long time and usually running, I don't want it to open back up if it's still healing, what should I do/how do I know if I'm ok

When I had taken off my contact lens, I noticed what looks like a piece of contact lens on my eye. However, the contact lens I was wearing was not torn. I wonder if it could have been a piece from a torn contact lens I took off LONG TIME AGO.

I can't find that piece. I have no pain, irritation or loss of vision. Can it cause problem to my sight? What should I do? I have no health insurance.
