It's not too bad to skip one day, but once a week is just WRONG dude! Especially "down there," gross, come on man! Its not even just about smelling decent, its about hygiene which is about good health. You would definately get sicknessesmore often if you shower only once a week. A nice hot shower is cleansing for the body AND the mind. You might be surprised also the effect bad odor has on person you are talking to or come in close contact with. You will be perceived negatively. And I don't care how handsome you might be- if you smell, I'm staying away, as would most people.

It is definitely not wise to shower only once a week. Not only does it make you have nasty body odor, but you could actually get sick a lot. Bathing/showering stops germs from spreading. It is way too easy for germs from your hands to spread to your mouth, nose, and eyes; that is why it is important to wash your hands on a regular basis. That's how the flu, colds, and other dangerous diseases can spread. You can actually put others around you at risk for catching illnesses. Germs can actually enter through scrapes or cuts, too!

Please, be wise, and take a bath/shower EVERY DAY! American culture is showering every single day. We are one of the civilized countries, not a third world country...a shower a day keeps the odor away!

In the US it is customary to shower every day but in other countries I've noticed that people shower A LOT LESS. I guess it's a matter of culture, but as an American, yes, I do think it is bad to shower once a week. B.O. (body odor) and greasy hair is repulsive!!!!!

It's probably not bad for you. It's just been within the past 30-40 years that people started bathing daily. We have been indoctrinated in our country to be excessively clean. I feel that I am dirty if I don't have a shower each day. Truthfully though, I feel that our skin would not be as dry if we held off of the baths just a little.

Once a month whether you need it or not. Yuck, that is gross. At least every other day. Also you can get infections showering that little. Happy Showering.

People that avoid processed foods and those high in sugar have less BO. BO is caused by bacteria. If you have alot of toxins coming out through your skin you will need to shower more often. Clean what gets dirty: hands, privates, face, scalp. Different people have different amounts of oil coming through their pores too. Oil is good except that dirt sticks to it.

People in some cultures and countries don't shower every day. I think hygiene or socially wise, its not a good choice.

Yes...you probably don't smell very good. And don't try and cover it with deoderant and perfume/cologne. That's just gross and makes you smell even worse. Seriously, you should shower every other day at the least.
