I went tubing on the water and I got thrown from the tube really hard and my a** hurt right away, but ofcourse I didn't say anything. When I went to the bathroom and I wiped there was a lot of blood and I had diarhea. I know I am bleeding from the anus and it's not bleeding a whole lot, but enough. It hurts pretty badly, even when I walk. I used Preperation H and some tucks pads. Is this going to get better? Why did this happen? Serious answers only please.

Im a 17 year old female n i have had a prosthetic leg for 8 years already,.. my condition is rather unique, i had a surgary that was done called a "Turn Around". thats when they take your lower leg (below the knee with the foot attached) and they turn it around n place it where your thigh is suppose to be. So that the foot can act as an ankle when i put on my prosthesis. So while everything works good.. becuz my quaduset is now a calf, when i wear jeans one leg looks skinner than the other.. the company that makes my prosthesis is called Hanger but it seems they can make a very good working prosthesis but when it comes to making it look real is not their major. If theres any good companiesnyone knows plz tell me i live in New york Manhatten and i wanna where jeans again!!!

I play volleyball and I've noticed lately that whenever we serve a lot or hit a lot it really starts to hurt. I only have five pound weights so maybe something using that; any exercises that have worked for you? Or.. whenever I take ibuprofen like a half hour before I go, I'm fine. Should I just do that?

First let me mention that my partner (this is her acct though) is a 11yr migraine sufferer. We came out of town to visit her mother. She started suffering a migraine & her meds were not working, so I took her to the ER. Now this is a small town. Not even 5000. The Dr. didn't even come into the hospital to check my partner but said he would give her such and such a medicine. I said no because it doesn't work for her. So we left the hospital with no availe, however she has gotten the proper treatment from this hospital in years past but they wouldn't give it to her this time. She hasn't been there in years. She gets relief from Nubain 10mg, Tordal 60mg, & Phenergan 50mg. Through trial and error this is what us and her family Dr. have found to work the best. The next closest hospital is 30min away. So when we got to her mothers, I called the ER back & complained some. The nurse suggested that I get ahold of her family Dr to call the ER. So I called the clinic &

Presciption-strength Aleve and other over-the-counter headache medication has had no effect. She's had an EEG, CAT scan, and MRI of the head, neck, and chest. All the blood work came back normal. Yet, her headaches continue on a daily basis and have become more and more frequent over the past three years. They start upon rising out of bed in the mornings. Sometimes they are in the front of her head, sometimes on both sides, sometimes on the back, sometimes pounding, and sometimes there is an intense pressure (squeezing) sensation. The family physician thought that the headaches were due to stress/depression and put her on Wellbrutin. The neurologist thought that the headaches were migrains and has put her on 50 mg of Topamax (4th week and no improvement). The rheumatologist thought that it was Lupus but has since ruled that out. She sees a chiropractor and physical therapist twice per week with no improvement. Anyone have any other suggestions? We are at our wits-end here!

I've had a pain in my ankle on the inside part of my leg for about a month now. I'm not sure what it is? It's not a constant pain, it just is like a jolt of pain every so often when I am walking, or maybe pushing something heavy at work. The pain is so great it almost brings me to my knees! I can be walking along, and BAM, a quick jolt of pain in my ankle! I've tried icing it at night, but that's not helping. Does anyone know what this is, and how can I get it to go away!

My Grandmother, age 86 was hospitalized four days ago with muscle cramps, blood test showed low magnesuim, everything else within okay boundries, they have been giving her a 3 inch x 5 inch (not sure of liquid measurement) IV bag of Magnesuim sulfate. They will test her levels one hour after the IV drip is complete and her level is within normal scale... 12 hrs later, NO magnesuim will show up in her blood test. Where does all of this magnesium go to??? They have been repeating this proceedure for days now. All other health issues have been ruled out. Not Diabetic, has high blood pressure, but controlled with meds, other then that, VERY HEALTHY 86 year old. Eats logical diet, active, great weight.... had great stress test and echo test results today.. she is just making bags of magnesuim disappear.

I had an accident with a stapler the other day at work, and managed to get a staple stuck in my thumb, kind of wedged under my finger nail. The children at the nursery I work at will probably be scarred for life from the torrent of swearing that followed.
Anyway, the first aider pulled it out for me (more swearing), and we phoned NHS Direct and the guy said to make an appointment with my GP and have a tetnus shot.
But now, it looks and feels fine - no swelling, discoloration, oozing or soreness, just a little red dot.
So do I still need a Tetnus Jab? I'm also four months pregnant, so can you even have one when you're pregnant???
I'll still make an appointment, if I have to, but I dont really want to waste their (or my) time if I dont need or cant have one. What do you think?

next week i'm getting surgery on my foot/ankle. they are taking out a bone and reconstructing my foot. I've never had surgery before and I'm really nervous. Has anyone had something similar done before? What are the doctors going to do before and after the surgery? this is such a stupid question, but i'm really nervous about the anesthetic(Sp) and everything.
thanks!:)

I'm a 26 year old male, I have never had heartburn in my life(not even a mild episode). I had a tonsillectomy about three weeks ago and since then I have had SEVERE heartburn(if this is even heartburn). The pain/burning begins right above my sternum and end above my adams apple. It does NOT matter what I eat or drink the burning starts and hurts, this even includes milk. Does anyone know if this is related to the tonsillectomy or what might be causing this.

Also, I am in good shape(i play rugby for my college) so this is not a weight issue and again I have never had heartburn before. Please Help!
